12 oz. Clear, darkish copper with a lasting quarter inch of sticky foam. Nose is sticky sweet molasses, peanut butter, and cocoa. The flavor is root vegetable, buried-in-earth raw peanut, old toasted nut and grains and stalks, and dirty molasses. Light-medium body is drinkable, with smooth low-medium carbonation.

Aroma of bread, caramel, lemongrass, walnuts. Appearance is ruddy brown with tan head. Flavor matches the nose, with a lemony finish. Palate is very bubbly. A nice Marzen from BBC; one of their better seasonal beers.

I had this on tap at Molly Malone’s in Louisville. I make it a habit not to try to B.S. ratings after the fact. I just remember this was malty and delicious.
