Draft. A deep red beer with a bubbly off-white head. The aroma has notes of fruit, red berries, and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt and caramel as well as lighter notes of alcohol and a tart berry note, leading to a dry, berry, and alcoholic finish.

On tap. Slightly hazy orangey brown with a small off-white head. Plenty of burned caramel and sweetish roasted malt in the nose. Medium body, plenty of roasted malt, a little nuts and burned caramel with a fairly dry and hoppy finish that ain’t overly aromatic. But a solid effort indeed. 181210

Draft at St. Matthews brewpub. Poured clear dark brown color with medium off-white fizzy head that diminished slowly with good lacing. Medium roasted malt aroma with a hoppy tone. Medium to full body with a smoth texture. Medium to heavy flavor of roasted malt with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. Interesting solid brew.

De barril. Clear deep dark brown colour, off-white small head, ok lacing. Sweet caramel dark malty and dark fruity aroma, aged. Ok mouthfeel. Sweet dark malty and dark fruity caramel aged flavour with a bit alcohol and chocolate. Too sweet and aged flavour for my likings.
