3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Not bad. Orange pour with a huge frothy head. Aroma is of sharp hops. Taste is somewhat disappointing. Thin mouth. Overbalanced toward the cereal malt side.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Surprising loud escape of carbonation upon opening. Pours a light brown with an absolutely huge, fizzy head. Musty, piney hop aroma. Medium bodied, somewhat high carbonation. Initially pretty grainy, malty with some cereal. Finish becomes very bitter, and slightly resinous as the hops appear. Aftertaste is earthy malt.

Bottle I got from someone, I dont think he even uses ratebeer anymore. Anyway, this beer sucks. Pours out brown with a glass that is half head and half tea colored beer. Tastes like alcohol with a bitter hop presence. Not a good bitter either. Like eating an asprin. I poured this in the sink and it almost over flowed from the huge head that poured out. Not something I even want to see again. Way out of balance, with no chance of improving. Just a huge disappointment in a 750 bottle. I am being generous in my rating of this too. I dont know if the bottle is infected or what, but this beer was horrible. I had to drink Johnny Walker Green to get the taste out of my mouth, as not even scope would help.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Iím thinking this was old when I got it, but due to no dating I have no way of knowing. Pours hazy orange / copper with a large tan head. The aroma is quite oxidized and woody with a hint of citrus hops. Medium body with lots of carbonation. The flavor starts with oxidization, lots of sweetness and some spicy hops. The finish is all kinds of wet cardboard. When I can get a known fresh bottle a proper rerate will follow.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Nearly clear amber, moderate head with decent lacing and retention. Aroma is light grapefruit and spicy hops, some caramel and pale malt backing. Medium bodied with not much for hop flavor, a greater focus on bitterness. Bitterness doesnít bother me, but I want some damn flavor too.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
I had a share of the bottle that aofoxxy didnít like at 07 RBSG. I liked it better than she did, but not a lot. It poured with a really big foamy white head. Clear amber color with a nose of mostly grainy malts. I would not have guessed this was an IIPA in a million years. Caramel sweetness with some hop resin and an old grapefruit juice finish. Hot on the tongue. I would have peg it more as an English IPA.

numbing? Wish I was numb, smelled better in the drain pour the next morning. I bought it to drink with a special Professor at the RBSG but it turned out to be too bubbly with a chunkey head: sour and bitter. My drunken notes read THIS SUCKS. Fortunately we had some Kalamazoo stout to cleanse our pallates.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottled via mnurda, sampled with oakbluff. Orange in colour with very strong carbonation. Aromas of stale citric hops, grass, and metal. Very light bodied in the mouth, with some grassy and grapefruit flavors. Not much going on at all. Drinkable, but hardly any malt character, depth, or complexity. Very blah.
