2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Pours dark golden with little to no carbonation. Aroma of tart apple, weathered leather, and lactic acid. Taste is very sour and acidic. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with light carbonation. Didn’t get much help with my 750, so it had to be finished in the morning. This is about the upper limit of sourness that I can conceivably enjoy, but unfortunately the balance from the barrel and base beer just wasn’t there.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: JAN 12, 2012 An interesting beer that I liked a lot more than the Florida crew. Popped this at Bobby91w’s going away party. Pours a murky mix of brown, red, and yellow. Very muddled and interesting looking, with colors swirling around. Aroma is sharp and bitter, slight candy and vinegar on the nose. Flavor is very odd, lots of vinegar, dark candy, some yeast, and straw. Very sour, bitter finish. The sourheads in the group loved this, and I found it a lot more interesting and tasty than I thought I would.

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Thanks to TheCheeseman. Aroma of some kind of cleaning product with a slight funk and wood. Flavor is more wood and malts with an astringency.

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
UPDATED: JUN 19, 2009 Poured a hazy copper-mahogany color. Virtually no head. Aroma is subdued, hints of leather, raw wood, dark fruit, acetic notes, the funk is really mellow. Flavor is mildly sour, with a slight astringency. Not my thing.

Hazy copper. Small white head. Ton of vinegar. Earthy wood, leather, very sour, but not pleasantly so. Light carbonation, medium to medium/light on the body. Just a bit worse than neutral.
