3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 shigadeyo (2399) - Harrison, Ohio, USA - MAY 4, 2010
11/26/2009: BBC Queen’s Knickers... Aroma: Caramelized malt; brown sugar; brandy. Appearance: Golden honey color with a chill-hazed complexion; 2-3 fingers of beige foam on top. Flavor: Toffee and caramel malts; brown sugar; hints of vanilla and barrel char; sugary malts; dry, good bitterness (citrus, lightly earthy) in the finish. Palate: Medium body; quite smooth. Overall: Plenty of brandy characteristics; the alcohol is well-hidden for 12%; sessionable and very easy to drink!
Growler fill (draught; 12% ABV) from Party Town in Florence, Kentucky. Rating #8 for this beer.

Pours dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma was big caramel and toffee. Flavor was a big rich caramel and toffee bomb, with hints of oak and chocolate. Pretty good stuff.
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 Ryan82SM (837) - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - MAR 28, 2009
Maybe I just didn’t taste it, but I don’t see hardly any difference between this and the BBC APA. Mildly florid hop aroma, with a mostly rusty appearance, very little head. Some mild hop and citrus character. with perhaps a tad bit of caramel thrown in for additional flavor. Non-descript palate. Nothing special here.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 EithCubes (3339) - GERMANY - MAR 18, 2009
On tap at Barley Island. Love the hop aroma, nice and English. Orange-copper pour, lichtdurchlässig, nice legs. Very balanced hoppy bitterness. Light citrus in a heavily wooden taste. Casky! Medium body, smooth and well-attenuated finish, bitter hoppy after. Mildly impressive little session.

Tasted at The Bistro in Louisville. Pours a dark ruby amber with a khaki head. Nice hoppy aroma with a solid malty backbone. Taste is bitter hoppy with some nice malty sweetness. Very English in style, though not terribly exciting.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 antzman (314) - Clarksville, Indiana, USA - AUG 21, 2008
Pours a coppery amber with a full white head. The aroma is full of malty goodness, yeast, just a touch of hops. The flavor is lightly sweet, full of malt, with a lightly bitter finish. Very smooth flavor slightly warming alcohol taste as well.
2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 SpudClampDawg (1029) - Jasper, Indiana, USA - MAR 20, 2008
Draft at the Gerst Haus: Deep caramel pour with a healthy white head that really sticks around. The nose offers lots of caramel malts, balanced by a heavy hop bitterness. A wall of bitterness overwhelms everything else upon first sip. Grassy and heavy, the bitterness throws this beer in one direction. A nice blend of sweet malts does lie beneath, but the bitterness overcomes the malt profile.
