Draft. A black beer with a red shine under a thin brown head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt and soy sauce. The flavor is sweet malty with strong notes of roasted malt, leading to a very dry finish.

Draft @ Mikkeller Bar, Copenhagen. Pours a black color with a small off-white head. Has a roasted malty chocolate and licorice aroma. Roasted malty sweeish chocolate flavor. Has a roasted malty chocolate and coffee finish.

De barril. Black like colour with a brown hue. Roasty malt and some chocolate. Good mouthfeel. Flavour has roasted malt, some chocolate, dark fruit,sweet, pleasant bitterness, some alcohol.

Draught@ Mikkeller Bar, Copenhagen. Very dark slightly red tinged brown colour with a small but persistent tan head. Sweetish aroma with notes of wood, booze, dark fruit and roasted malt. Slick and creamyish mouthfeel. Flavour had similar elements to the nose with some dark chocolate and hoppage muscling in on the action too. ABV pretty cleverly masked. Bitterish finish. Drunk rather in haste, but left a favourable impression overall.

Clear dark black brown color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting to diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, dark chocolate, chocolate malt, dark malt, moderate alcohol. Flavor is light heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, chocolate malt, tobacco - wood, dry, hoppy, dark roasted. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, cold >;O). [20110218]

On tap. Pours an opaque dark brown - close to black - with a light brown head. Sweetish roasted malt and raisin notes in the nose. Medium body, some hard roasted malt, a little dark bitter chocolate with a malt bitter finish. Incredible that this should be 11%. 190211

tap@mikeller bar pitch dark, large smooth beige head aroma is roasted malts, toffee, caramel, dark fruits, quite complex flavor is licorice, malts, roasted stuff, not very sweet as such, but brown sugary, burnt sugary, sweet licorice.

From tap at MikkellerBar. Pours black with a small light brown head. Aroma is caramelish and roasted malty. Sweet caramelish and slight vanilla. Bitter and rather caramelish into a mixed sweet and bitter finish. Lasting caramelish impression into the far finish.

Draught at Mikkeller Bar. Black coloured with a small beige ehad. Sweet and roasted aroma of caramel, dark chocolate and vanilla. Roasted flavour of dark chocolate and liquorice with notes of hops. Roasted finish.
