Pours a fairly dark brown with a modest head. Sweet smell and floral smell. Slightly sweet and roasted flavor profile, with a somewhat soapy finish to it.

On draft pours pretty much orange color with no head, aroma is of bananas and candy. Lots of carbonation though. Flavor is about the same. Banana and candy and some esters. Body is thin.

Bottle 6-11...pours a hazy orange, fizzy, very little head. Scent is candied orange, Flavour is acidic citrus, tart to the point of sour, maybe a little pear...hard to tell with the overly candied stickiness. A little pepper shows up, Overall, not good, just some wierd combination of sugary, tangy and...well...Bleh.

Pours dark gold with a thin white head. Notes of banana, sweet sugary esters, bubble gum, light phenolic spice, vloe, wheat, lightly chewy pale amlt. Medium bodied with moderate cabonation. Poor head retention for the style. Overall a decent beer, pretty much on par for a US saison though.

Medium amber with a good head and no lace. Pretty heavy for a saison, and unfortunately, has an unattractive spice-gumdrop flavor that takes over at the finish. Kudos for originality, but not for me.

Bottle opens with some foam instantly creeping up the neck of the bottle and spilling out until I get my glass underneath. Pours hazed amber orange with a big frothy, rocky, craggy beige head that eventually settles after a while. Aroma of bread, some funk, floral hop, basil. Taste is lacking, mostly funky sweet with a bitter chalky finish that just seems to linger on forever. Body is medium thin with high carbonation.

12oz bottle, bottled June ’11. Highly carbonated pour, gusher - could be infection. Pours a golden yellowish with small white head. Smells sweet and somewhat citrusy. Taste is complex, but muddy and maybe under attenuated - has a lot going on - yeasty, bready, sweet, citrusy, orange, etc. With a bit of carbonation/infection control - there could be a nice beer hiding in here.

12 ounce bottle, bottled in August 2011. Served in a tulip glass, the beer pours a mostly clear dark gold color with about an inch off-white head. Head retention is decent, and there’s a decent amount of lacing left behind on the glass. The brew smells like light fruit (pears, peaches), Belgian yeast and wheat, but there’s also a weird off-aroma that I can’t identify but I know it doesn’t smell good at all. Luckily there isn’t anything off about the taste. It tastes like peppery spice, Belgian yeast, pears and a bit of bready malt. Mouthfeel/body is light/medium, and it’s well carbonated. It’s certainly not one of the better saisons (or BBC beers in general) I’ve tried and I wouldn’t buy a sixer of this, but for $1.69 a bottle it’s worth a try.

Bottle thanks to Kyle! Pours a near clear (some sediment) orangish gold with a white head that lasts throughout the beer. Aroma is full of floral notes with a bit of light fruit and backing saison yeast and light grains. Flavor is similar with light fruits and flora with backing sweet grains. Not complex but drinkable.

Gross. I’m starting to think i just hate saisons altogether. Honestly this beer tastes like some kind of smoked canned meat. Seriously disgusting. I had to choke down the one I opened and pretty much beg my friends to take the rest of the six pack I had. I have yet to have a saison I have liked. Nasty.
