Pours deep red with an off white head. Aroma is caramel, with hints of dark fruit. Flavor is nice, malty caramel with hints of roastiness and a slight hint of earthiness. Not much peat or smoke for a scotch ale, but a great brew and a steal for 6.99 a growler at liquor barn.

On tap at Ditto’s, Louisville. Aroma of caramel, light chocolate and liquored toffee. Appearance is brown-red with virtually no head or carbonation. Flavor matched the nose; nothing sticks out; nothing noteworthy. Palate was nice and bubbly. A beer that needs some work and consistency.
