7/03/2009: Bluegrass Ultra Double IPA is a disappointing mess of a beer. It has deep amber color and lots of sugary malt and ruby red grapefruit in both the aroma and flavor. A pine-like bitterness dominates the flavor, but is still only mild at best. This beer seems big, but not in the right ways. Maybe it is ust overly malty. I don’t think that the chewy and sticky quality helps much either. Overall this beer seemed to have less bitterness than the English IPA! I don’t recommend this beer at all!
