on tap at BBC. hazy orange amber with a disappearing white head. banana clove aroma. sweet banana flavor with a bit of clove light caramel and vanilla. flavor a bit too sweet. the finish is a bad mix of bitter caramel and banana...the finish is just a bit of a mess. medium to full body. just not that great.

On tap at BBC 8/07. Deep brown, costly clear, short off-white head. Aroma was nutty, bit of herbal clove. Medium body, toffee, banana, citrus. Nice brew, not too heavy, easy to drink.

Surprised to see this on draft at The Pub in Lexington,Kentucky. The bartender mistook this for a hefeweizen but the darker color, chewier taste stronger alcohol note gives it away as weizenbock. One of the more impressive offererings from BBC. They should make this a year round beer.

Pours dark reddish amber with a thin, mostly receding light tan head. Aroma of bubble gum, spicy phenols, and caramel. Taste is lightly sweet with estery notes of bubble gum and light banana, But overal the beer tends more towards the spicy phenolic side. This is missing the creamy wheat character added by a large percentage of wheat. Mouthfeel is medium/full bodied with lively carbonation. Pretty enjoyable, but I wish there were more esters.
