COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our sessionable take on the mole-inspired imperial stout style. The creamy confluence of milk chocolate & vanilla is dusted in cinnamon spice & finished with a sweet & mildly smoky hint of ancho chili pepper. Brewed with lactose milk sugar, vanilla beans, cacao nibs, ancho chilis & cinnamon. It’s an awesome brew for the holiday season (if we do say so ourselves).

Aromas of spiced coffee, vanilla, chocolate, and caramel. Black with a mostly lasting off-white head. Initial chocolatey sweetness, roasty. Full bodied, creamy smooth.

Pitch black with aromas of chocolate and coffee. Flavor was much the same slightly silky and sweet, but a tad thinner than I would have liked.

Draft at the source. Dark brown color, dark brown head. Beautiful aroma of cinnamon, vanilla on a background of cocoa. Taste is smooth, silky, lightly spiced. Chilis are maybe a bit too subtle, but it’s a delicious beer.

Draft sample at the Brewery The sweet stout poured a deep black with a spiced sweet aroma and taste. There was coffee and burnt malt in the experience. It was just too sweet for me. The stout had light body and soft carbonation. Sweet finish . This was my least favorite beer for this brewery.

Epic aroma and smell. Huge profile with nibs and coffee and burnt caramel. Really nice.

Keg @ Bluejacket. Deep brown with a tight tan head. Sweet vanilla cream aroma. Definite lactose. Some dark roast coffee, ash. The flavor’s really similar to vanilla noir. Coffee creamer, toasted nuts, dark chocolate. Slight bitterness in the finish. Oily body, pretty active carbonation. I liked this. Not over the top.

This all comes together very well. I like the light chilli notes in here, blends well with cacao and vanilla, the latter shines especially prominently. Bitter and spicy finish. Pours black without much head or lacing on cask. Thick consistency. Tap at brewpub.
