COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our sessionable take on the mole-inspired imperial stout style. The creamy confluence of milk chocolate & vanilla is dusted in cinnamon spice & finished with a sweet & mildly smoky hint of ancho chili pepper. Brewed with lactose milk sugar, vanilla beans, cacao nibs, ancho chilis & cinnamon. It’s an awesome brew for the holiday season (if we do say so ourselves).

Pours a black brown color with a brown foamy head. Notes of cinnamon, vanilla, brownie crust, earthy chilis. Nice and well balanced.

On tap at the brewery. An excellent spices sweet stout. Complex yet balanced flavor, albeit a bit sweeter than I’d prefer. Notes of cinnamon, chocolate, vanilla and a faint but appreciated touch of chili pepper. Smooth body is a touch thin.

750ml c&c bottle that Dan P. picked up for me a while back. Thanks bro! Pours black with a thick frothy light tan head. Aroma of burnt malts, lots cinnamon, cream, chili powder, and lots of chocolate. Taste is much the same. Burnt malts, cinnamon, chocolate, earthy chili (with no heat), lactose, and a cinnamon toast/caramel aftertaste. Really solid, was just hoping for some burn from the chilies.

Bottle shared by Ed5388, thanks dad x 2 soon to be. Poured a good looking thick pitch black body under an average sized dense foamy dark beige head. Aroma of burnt malts, well done toast, dark chocolate, light cinnamon and pepper and a finish of manure earthiness. Flavor of dark malts and well dine toast, touch of dark chocolate, some peper and cinnamon. Solid full mouthfeel that I wish had a bit more pepper heat but I am a hot head so it’s probably a 5 for Palate for most other people. Good stuff all around.

Damico (2868) - Royersford, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 17, 2015
Pours thick coffee unclear blackish brown with a thicker body and lighter carbonation. Aroma brings sweet creamy mocha coffee notes, earthy smoky chiles with no spice, and a dusting of non sweet cinnamon. Flavor brings the creamy roasted malts, birch, and then cinnamon and some smoky chipotle at the end. This beer is delicious, thanks Tom.

Vanilla chili and chocolate mole aroma. Smooth and well blended spiced character...vanilla with a chili that hits in the back of the throat. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Sampled at Schlafly Repeal of Prohibition Fest 2015 - Pours dark brown with a tan head. The aroma has chocolate, fudge, smooth roast and is very full and rich. It has a medium body that is somewhat smooth then has light rough carbonation. The flavor starts with dark chocolate, light spice and heavy roast. The finish is a bit rougher. Pretty nice.

Tasted on tap in a mini Willybecher glass at the 2015 Schlafly Repeal of Prohibition Festival. It poured a murky dark brown colour with long-lasting beige foam. Some true-to-style strong stout traits underneath (bready, toasty, roasty, dark fruit) but too sticky-sweet and too doctored-up for me. Aroma was better than the flavour. Extreme cocoa powder taste, cloying vanilla, unfermentable milkiness. Unfortunately, the chili spice is where they decided to play it safe, I could’ve used more smoke and fire. I like the name and I get what they’re going for, but I don’t think it worked out.

Sampled at Repeal. One of the few stouts at the fest. Another winner from Bluejacket. Plenty of chocolate in this with a bit of spice. Peppers are light and that is a plus. Vanilla and some lactic. A nice stout.

On tap at Bluejacket, in Navy Yard, Washington D.C. Had a serving of this, paired with the regular Mexican Radio. Both are great, but this one is slightly better. The appearance is dark brown, going on black. The aroma is chocolate, and cinnamon spice and smoky hint of peppers. The taste is similar as the aroma, but with come milk sugar, vanilla beans, cacao nibs, and chilis. Palate is a little medium, but kind of creamy. Overall, a fantastic beer added to their repertoire. Drink this!

Draft at Bluejacket poured into a snifter. Their description is "Our sessionable take on the mole-inspired imperial stout style. The creamy confluence of milk chocolate & vanilla is dusted in cinnamon spice & finished with a sweet & mildly smoky hint of ancho chili pepper. Brewed with lactose milk sugar, vanilla beans, cacao nibs, ancho chilis & cinnamon." Honestly, I couldn’t describe it any better. Loved the aroma, look, taste and feel. This beer just makes me happy, and makes drinking beer a good experience.
