3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pint draft at Taco Mac Metropolis in Atlanta, Georgia. The pour is clear golden with not much of a white head. There is a bunch of fine carbonation bubbles. The aroma is light lemon, and not too much else. Softly tart, hint of funk as it warmed. The taste is tart lemon, lemon peel than a fair amount of diacetyl. Wheat character comes out as the beer warms. The palate is light bodied, not much carbonation and lemon with peel finish. Decent, though would love to up the funk and minimize the diacetyl.

4.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
A true Berliner. Very tart upfront which fades as you drink it yielding to cheesy, wheaty sour dough. A very nice funky complex aroma and thick lacy white head.

3.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Sample at the Decatur Craft Beer Fest. Light gold color, with a big, white head. The aroma is lemon juice, white bread, black pepper, and quite a lot of funk. The flavor is characteristically, puckeringly tart. Medium body, very acidic, and sticky. Overall, this is a very well made Berlinerweisse. The flavor, after the first sip, was strong, but not overpowering, and made for a surprisingly refreshing and tasty beer.

Glad to have found the latest offering from BlueTarp hiding within the menu of fairly common beers at the Taco Mac Lindbergh. Poured a pale yellow with a thin white head. Scent is vinegar and citrus. Refreshing tart bite. Bubbly. Draft - Taco Mac Lindbergh - Atlanta, GA

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
16 ounce pint - $5.00 at Taco Mac in Kennesaw, Georgia.
Appearance: Hazy, golden body underneath a sturdy, white head. Enthusiastic lace coating on the descent.
Smell: A snappy sourness with a strong sense of lemon juice atop the rather subtle wheat characteristics.
Taste: Instant crackling ripple of salty lactic sourness, again, with a wallop of juiced lemons that really gets the saliva glands a-goin’. Slight, mildly creamy wheat presense. Remains as such until the finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium-plus carbonation.
Overall: A bit more sour, a bit more fuller than most traditional BW’s. So, I guess this makes Funk Weisse a BBW.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Atlanta, Ga - Taco Mac - Lindbergh Center - on tap. Light gold pour, light white head. Moist, aroma - almost reminds me of mildew - I guess this is "barnyard". Nice sour flavor, reminiscent of sweet tarts, some light vinegar tartness a hint of raspberry puckery sourness. Crisp, spritzy mouthfeel.
