50 cL bottle. Pours brown with a small off-white head. Aroma is dark roasted malt and slight phenolic. Sweet fruity, caramelish and slight yeasty. Lingering malty and subdued bitter into a mild yeasty fruity finish.

Cask conditioned - handpump - Malt Shovel Northampton. A light amber coloured beer with a whitish head. Presumably should be better as there are apply notes in both the aroma and taste. Malty rather than hoppy through the apple. Thin and disappointing.

Pale beer with an alcoholic nose and a plain dry flavour. Overall and average strong bitter.

Amber/Gold with a small white head of loose foam. Aromas are fruity with gooseberry and pine needle hops. Flavours are sweetish malts and fruit. Quite smooth with a chalk-dry finish.
