COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A European style lager brewed from the finest quality pilsner malts. This beer is fermented at a lower temperature than most Australian lagers, and employs an extended maturation period. These combine together with a mixture of kettle and late hopping to yield a crisp pale lager

A little lighter in colour than your classic Australian lager (which is saying something) with a good white head. Aromas were hoppier than I was expecting. A little bit herbal, peppery and even spruce. Tastes clean and crisp with useful hoppy bitterness and a nice dry finish. Not bad at all.

Bottle at outback. Note bottle reads best before 08/12/11. Golden yellow in color with a modest of amount of tan head. Light sweet malt, almost boring aroma and flavor. But no off flavors, better than expected.

I suppose this passes as "exotic" in Hong Kong, though of course it’s labelled as just another lager. Do people ever wise up to the marketing ploy and realize that pretty much all these lagers taste the same, or do they while away in blissful ignorance? It pours with a lame foamy head and that boring yellow piss body you all know. The aroma is corn and preservatives. The flavour is a modest effort of malts with a light finish. It’s basically crap, but better crap than I’ve had lately.

Bottle @ home. Clear golden color, small white head that disappears quick. Smell malts, wort, grainy and sweet. Taste malts, sweet, wort, slightly bitter. Not bad, just slightly off or something. A bit weird ’sidetaste’ to it. Watery texture, average carbo, low body.

Grainy and mild sweetness in the aroma while the appearance is pale gold. The flavor is grainy and malty, with a smooth finish. Although this was almost a month past its "best before" listed on the bottle and it was a twist top, it was decent and thankfully not oxidized, although it might have been fuller in flavor if fresh and gotten a slightly higher score otherwise.
