3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
James Boag’s Premium Lager has a thin, white head, somewhat of a lacing sheen left on the glass, a hazy, yellow-golden appearance, streaming bubbles, and some suspended brown particles visible throughout. The aroma is of pungent, sweet barley malt, sugar, and white bread. Flavor is of sweet, bold malt, white bread, a shadow of paper, and a nice balancing hop bitterness. The mouthfeel is medium, and James Boag’s Premium Lager finishes semi-dry, refreshing, and supremely drinkable. Overall, this is another very good beer. Buy it, and try it! RJT

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Pours a dark golden yellow with a small short lived white head. Aroma and taste is of grains, cereal, grassy and light fruity notes. A medium body palate, crisp with good carbonation. Finish is grains, grass and fruity. Overall a very non descript mass produced brew, but still an ok brew for summer drinking.

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle - fair size foamy head, dark straw color, pretty typical generic lager aroma and flavor, maybe slightly better than most in that category

1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20
Australian lager, brewed with water ’sourced’ from the Esk River in Tasmania, which probably means they pumped it out of it. Compared to most Australian beers, it actually tastes like they put some effort into it. Pretty flat, though. The Esk River, or so I
imagine, bubbles lustily over its rapids on the label, sort of cute.
