Rather bland overall, as is to be expected for a light beer. Thin bodied and watery. Not great.

Not a great beer by any means but as far as low alcohol beers go in Australia this is drinkable

same as the james boags premium, but less alcohol. very boring, not much going on in this watered down beer.
2.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 mkel07 (1806) - Brisbane, AUSTRALIA - APR 30, 2009
375ml bottle. Bright golden amber in colour with a fulffy white head of foam on top. Clear and sparkling with good lacing around the glass. Mild hop aroma with a nice mouthfeel and mild bitterness. Grassy malt flavour , well carbonated and okay for a light beer. Good for a session on a hot day.
1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 Davros (1021) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - APR 11, 2009
Straw/gold pour. Small white head that leaves some lacing.
Aromas are malt, corn, cardboard, solvent and skunk, but not too offensive.
Lemon, slight malt, and astringent bitterness apparent upon tasting.
Heavy carbonation, seems to be the trend amongst macro light lagers.

Light straw colour with no head retention. Very slight malt and hop notes coming through. Thin bodied, watery and a fizzy carbonation in the finish.

This beer is a hidden gem when it comes to ’mid strength’ type beers. With an alcohol content of 2.9% it is a beer that gives you the buz without the hang over. If you like to mix and match your drinks a little but still want to drink a good beer in between with a low alcohol content this is the one, you wont even realise it is a light if you take the label off. The aroma is a nice hoppy one, very similar to a pilsner without that cordial factory made flavor.. it looks very nice in a pilsner glass. The price is reasonable at times availiable for $25 but generally up around $30 to $32 dollars a carton.
It is a great beer for a warmer climate and to drink at the afternoon BBQ without the worry of getting trashed too soon. I am in QLD and it is a shame I cannot find this on tap because I would love to see how it goes. i would far prefer to be offered this as a light beer at a local pub rather than XXX light, Cascade light, Fosters light or Hahn Premium light the list goes on... It tastes natural not factory manufactured as I mentioned earlier. It is also a very flexible beer, with a slice of lemon or a lime it is great on a hot evening. Even my wife who hates beer found it with a lime very nice.... Very under rated.

not just a light beer, but a PREMIUM light. this beer was sufficient for it’s purpose, which was to refresh. Otherwise, little to no taste

i thought this was pretty good for a light beer... decent flavour at least. Not nearly as palattable as the premium lager, but a smiliar flavour at least.

A rather boring beer as would be expected but as light beers go, it is at least drinkable.
