...bottle. Dark golden yellow, with a very thin white head. Lots of hops and malt on the nose. Bitter than most flavor, thin body, easy drinking. Finishes dry with a lingering malt flavor, not bad.

2.3 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 jkm (209) - AUSTRALIA - JUL 12, 2007
Golden amber in colour with a long-lasting frothy white head, good lacing. Thin to medium bodied with medium to high carbonation; Moderate bitterness; Not much flavour other than a little maltiness. Nice dry finish. An average pale lager.
2.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 Thylacine (517) - Tasmania, AUSTRALIA - JUN 22, 2007
Amber with an off white head which lasted fairly well although left little if any lacing. Highly carbonated. A light sweat malt flavour with a mild bitterness. Goes down OK but nothing to write home about. Similar to most other Australian pale lagers.
2.1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 garthicus (2088) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 2, 2007
Big fluffy head, light orange colour body, hoppyish aroma (could be skunky!) a very mild an plain flavour, nothing special but certainly not bad, a ’bbq beer’
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 ChrisTurner (202) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - MAY 28, 2007
Bottle -- Pours a light amber with a small, white frothy head. A bit of retention and a whole lot of lacing. Lots of bubbles. Aroma has much more going on than your average Oz lager with some caramel, malt and hops. Watery mouthfeel. The flavour is more one dimensional than the aroma with some sweetness up front and a vaguely (ever so vaguely) bitter aftertaste. Why it’s got that word "Bitter" in its name is a bit of a mystery. Not bad, with more going for it than most Oz lagers.
1 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 5/20 asedzie (522) - San Francisco, California, USA - MAY 27, 2007
375ml. Bottle. Pours a bubbly amber with a bubbly white head. Smells of pears with a trace of cabbage. Flavors are more pear and some green apple. Stale bread. Off-putting sweetness. Mouthfeel is way too fizzy. There is a little bitterness in the finish but it is offset by the offensive fruity-sweetness of it. Tastes like watered down cider. Weird flavor for a beer.
2.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20 madquacker (867) - Canberra ACT, AUSTRALIA - MAY 26, 2007
A very respectable low cost beer. None of the sweet cloying nature of the once good "premium", but a satisfying salty solid beer without much in the way of chemicals. Boags best performer in my view, punching well above its weight.
2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 messymatt (36) - NETHERLANDS - AUG 15, 2006
I thought dinking this would make me tough, like a real Tasmanian but alas I’m still pissweek and going back to Boags Draught.
1.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20 vanvenlo (852) - Glen Iris, AUSTRALIA - JAN 6, 2006
24 Sep 05 - Light malt, slight spirit and hop aroma. Clear amber colour, ordinary head and poor lacing. Big hoppy and light malt flavour. Ordinary Pride of Ringwood hop and a lingering plain bitterness.
