A Belgian Wheat Beer with an Asian flair. In designing this beer we were looking for a beer that would be refreshing with seafood, spicy food or a vegetarian meal. The light lemon flavor blends well with the flavors of garlic, chilies and cilantro.

Pretty basic wheat. Virtually no aroma, and a pretty one dimensional flavor. Little bit of lemon grass, a bit yeasty, but otherwise watery.

12oz bottle. Poured a lightly hazy golden/yellow color with an averaged sized head. Wheaty, citrus, and not too much. A bit weaker and thin.

Decent witbier. Aroma of wheat and lemon. Taste of wheat and malt with some citrus in the finish. Not bad but no reason to run out and grab it. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Transfer from BA review on 2-13-14- Served on tap in a pint glass Appearance – The beer is served a clear lightly golden color with a one finger head composed of a white foam. The head has a good level of retention, slowly fading over time to leave a moderate level of lace on the sides of the glass. Smell – The aroma of the beer is of a wheaty and bready smell mixed with some yeasty aromas. Along with these smells are some caramel smells as well as hints of Belgian spice a bit of lemon and a little bit of banana. Taste – The taste begins with weak but somewhat smooth and light bready taste with hints of wheat within. A moderate caramel taste is there as well mixed with a bit of banana, bringing a moderate sweetness to the brew overall. As the flavor advances the wheat gets a bit grainier in nature with a caramel taste fading some as the taste moves on to the end. Along with the caramel fading some yeast flavors come to the tongue growing more intense as the taste moves to the end. Along with the yeast, comes some coriander and a little bit of clove. At the end of the flavor with all the transitions that occurred, one is left with a lightly sweetened and rather mild wheat bready flavor to linger on the tongue. Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is quite light with a carbonation level that is on higher side. The light body and higher carbonation are good for making it more refreshing in conjunction with all its lighter flavors. Overall – Certainly not a flavor powerhouse here, but very easy drinking. An alright session style.

2oz sample at International Great Beer Expo (Meadowlands). Pours a clear golden color with a thick off white head. Aroma of ruin, yeast, sweet grain, and light citrus and spice. Taste of light lemon, sweet grain, mild spice, and very yeasty.

Clear golden minimal head. A candy nose. Flavor is a bit spicy and its a clean overall palate. Malt profile is light but the beer is a light flavorful beer. What?s nice is this has a prominent spice presence which makes this a distinctive beer.

On the label, why is the monk on the right giving the monk on the left the Nazi salute? Strange. Extra from dmac. This is full of lemongrass; coriander; and lemon. Easy drinking.

Location: Draft at Little Town-NJ, 4/25/13

Aroma: The nose has some malts/wheats, a bit of fruit, and maybe just a hint of spice
Appearance: It pours a cloudy looking yellowish color with a small white head
Flavor: The taste is kind of boring, not much going on here, a little sweet malt and fruit
Palate: The mouthfeel of this one is overly fizzy and a bit on the watery side as well
Overall Impression: This one wasn’t for me. I found it to be a fairly dull and uninteresting example of the style, and just a fairly dull and uninteresting beer as well.
