COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A Belgian Wheat Beer with an Asian flair. In designing this beer we were looking for a beer that would be refreshing with seafood, spicy food or a vegetarian meal. The light lemon flavor blends well with the flavors of garlic, chilies and cilantro.

Pretty basic wheat. Virtually no aroma, and a pretty one dimensional flavor. Little bit of lemon grass, a bit yeasty, but otherwise watery.

2oz sample at International Great Beer Expo (Meadowlands). Pours a clear golden color with a thick off white head. Aroma of ruin, yeast, sweet grain, and light citrus and spice. Taste of light lemon, sweet grain, mild spice, and very yeasty.

12 ounce thanks to Ed. Hazy yellow pour. Coriander and orange peel and a yeasty base. Some lemon in finish.

Clear golden minimal head. A candy nose. Flavor is a bit spicy and its a clean overall palate. Malt profile is light but the beer is a light flavorful beer. What?s nice is this has a prominent spice presence which makes this a distinctive beer.

On the label, why is the monk on the right giving the monk on the left the Nazi salute? Strange. Extra from dmac. This is full of lemongrass; coriander; and lemon. Easy drinking.

Location: Draft at Little Town-NJ, 4/25/13

Aroma: The nose has some malts/wheats, a bit of fruit, and maybe just a hint of spice
Appearance: It pours a cloudy looking yellowish color with a small white head
Flavor: The taste is kind of boring, not much going on here, a little sweet malt and fruit
Palate: The mouthfeel of this one is overly fizzy and a bit on the watery side as well
Overall Impression: This one wasn’t for me. I found it to be a fairly dull and uninteresting example of the style, and just a fairly dull and uninteresting beer as well.

12oz bottle in a tumbler. Pours light golden with a quickly dissipating, white head. Aroma of light malts, a little wheat and spice, plus hints of citrus. Flavor the same. Average to light texture. Not the best beer for the style.

Hazy straw yellow with thin head. Slight citrus/lemon scent. Crisp mouthfeel. Pretty average wit.

Even with an aggressive pour the foam was gone from Witbier quicker than you can say "Pompton Lakes". Left with a cider appearance, lemony light bodied beer. If "Asian Flare" means a monotone taste then Boaks has succeeded.

Bottle. Pours hazy gold with fast-dissipatiung off-white head. Only a 2 for appearance here. Nose is wheaty malt, lemongrassy hops. Tastes wheaty, pale malty, with notes of apricotty fruit, gingery spice, hops. Medium to watery palate, with a watery finish. This one was a disappointment.

Light with a foamy white head. A bit tart, hints of citrus zest, spices, and yeast. Very crisp. Fairly light, yet full bodied and flavorful.
