Light with a foamy white head. A bit tart, hints of citrus zest, spices, and yeast. Very crisp. Fairly light, yet full bodied and flavorful.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 bubbleflubber (1228) - Asheville, North Carolina, USA - FEB 11, 2012
Pours a straw hue into the glass, with an initially copious wispy froth head that reduces to a thin ring cap, leaving light window-wash lacing. The aromas are of light yeasty and sourdough. Flavors are thin, with sour yeast and lemon esters dominant. The body is somewhat thin with active carbonation. A tiny closing citric-crisp finish provides little to a lackluster mouthfeel and unsubstantial, weak palate. As a refresher, I posit the wrong style... as a witbier, meh. Nothing too great.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 sonnycheeba (819) - Fells Point, Baltimore, Maryland, USA - FEB 4, 2012
Draft. Pours clear yellow with thin white head; short retention and minimal lacing. Aroma is light fruit, wheat, banana, light spice, and sweet malt. Flavor is mostly sweet malt, no noticeable hops, and light fruit esters; dry, straw finish. Light body, medium carbonation, and low warmth.

Tap. Pours clear pale gold with a small, fizzy white head, short retention with spare lacing. Aroma is fruity esters, spices, and spicy wheat malt. Flavor is light malt, spices, light hops and bitterness with a dry finish. Light body and warmth with medium carbonation.
2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 kramer (3454) - Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 4, 2011
Pours a slightly hazy yellow gold body with an almost nonexistent head. Some light lazy carbonation. The nose is spiced pretty heav, lot of lemon peel and coriander, minimal wheat and yeastiness. It almost has a slight soapy or lemon pledge quality to it. Flavor is pretty similar, reminds me more of lemon Pledge than a Belgian Wit. Very minimal yeast character, and that’s what I like most about a good Wit. Medium bodied, a little too clingy, sticky, and heavy for a Wit. Not an especially drinkable or subtle beer.
2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 jb (1600) - Rochester, New York, USA - OCT 16, 2011
I was hoping for something other than a wit, with double in the name. Oh well. Part of a pick 6 from state college. Pale, hazy, no head, some retention. Lemons and spices in the nose. Lemony light palate, nothing offensive, but not much going on. Tasted decent after hockey. Can you say refreshing?
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 PapaSkeetSkeet (588) - Corvallis, Oregon, USA - JUL 27, 2011
hazy deep-gold, not cloudy though (no yeast) just a wheat haze. A quick and coarse white head. Aroma is a faint and refreshing citrus/herb with a touch of hearty biscuit coming through after that. Mmmm, a quenching pucker on the palate, not sure what spice it is from, but light citrusy twang, a very smooth light body. I like this, spiced but not overdone.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 alobar (1962) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 26, 2011
Pours a hazy yellow color with a thin white head. Aroma of lemon, grass, spice with orange peel, Belgian spice flavor with some citrus and grass. Decent.
2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 FROTHINGSLOSH (3386) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 30, 2011
Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a hazy yellow color with a large foamy white head that lingered and left some lacing. The aroma was dusty, musty and a bit tart with a faint lemony undertone. The flavor was tart, bitter, musty and chalky with a bit of cardboard and lemon. Medium finish, medium body. Mediocre.
3.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Heathen (1243) - Wilmington, Delaware, USA - DEC 19, 2010
THOUGHTS: Nice thirst quencher. The lemon grass is a nice addition to the style. The intention might have been east meets west, but the result was sort of like hefeweizen meets wit.
TECHNICAL: Bottle. Poured a murky, dark yellow to very light orange with a small, white head that mostly diminished. The aroma had wheat, lemon, lemon grass and slight banana and yeast in general. The initial flavor was acidic and slightly sweet; while the finish was lightly sweet, moderately to rather acidic and ever so slightly bitter with an average duration. Overall, the flavor was a little watery. There was lemon, lemon grass, wheat, coriander, banana and yeast. The light body was sort of creamy or silky and then dry with very fizzy, pin-prick carbonation and a dry and lightly astringent finish.
