COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A special beer brewed for Flanigan's Boathouse in Conshohocken and Malvern. This authentic Bavarian style Hefeweizen, celebrating the 15th anniversary of the Conshohocken site and the 10th anniversary of the Malvern site, will be available only at those locations and at both Sly Fox pubs.

Pale yellow cloudy appearance with a decent head. Lacing was decent the whole way down, but didn’t leave long lasting trails. The aroma was of citrus and some bananas. The flavor was much of the same with spices in the aftertaste. Cloves were absent until the beer warmed. A mildly soapy touch to some of the early sips. Mouthfeel was highly carbonated and refreshing. Nice, but not great.

Draft at Phoenixville location of Sly Fox. Poured a golden straw, slightly cloudy, with small white head. Aroma of banana, bubblegum, and wheat. Mouthfeel was a little thin and fizzy, but a nice crisp citrusy finish left a good overall impression. A little light in the body, missing a little more yeast presence. Good basic Hefe.

On tap at the Sly Fox in Phoenixville, PA. Poured a lighter and hazy golden/yellow color with a small sized white head. Aromas and tastes of citrus, lemons, light wheat and light bananas. A very light spiciness came out in the tastes as well.

Draught: Smells sweet and of banana and corriander. Medium yellow color. Cloudy. Small white head. No lacing. Sweet. Tastes of banana, wheat, bubblegum, and some spices. Medium body. Lively carbination. Good hefe.

Draft at Phoenixville. Pours turbid morning urine colored with little head. Aroma of big bubblegum, banana, clove, and citrus. The flavor is citrusy up front, with mid-palate emergence of the hefe big three of bubblegum, banana, and cloves. Medium on the palate with a good balance and great quaffability.

Poured a hazy orange golden color with a small, white head that left no lacing on the glass. Aroma of banana, clove, citrus, and yeast. Taste of tart citrus, banana, spices, lemon, and finishing with dry yeast. This was disappointing because it was so carbonated. The Royal Weisse is one of my favorite hefes, but this didn’t come close.
