bottle @ Cookie in Melbourne. Aroma is a superstar - lots of citrus, grassy hops. Clean american hop flavor, with much more caramelly malt than advertised by the nose. A little bit confused tasting, though. Good not great.

A very malty nose with lots of caramel and honey mixed together, followed by some soft citrus. In the mouth it’s much hoppier with grapefruit and passionfruit dominating the malt. The length is interesting - it’s not particularly long at the back, but it is really fizzy right at the very tip of the tongue, kind of like sherbert. A nice beer.

A big caramel malt aroma on this one with almost no head.. not bottle conditioned?? The malts unfortunately also dominate the flavour although it looks like these guys are trying hard so i wish them luck.

Pours a clear copper with a small white head. Aroma of off toffee apple. Flavour presents fairly similar, sweet malts, dried apple. Not the good kind of flavours though

330mL. Best beer from our tasting. Pours a clear orange with a massive, off-white head with great retention and leaving spotty lace. Aroma is a quick burst of citrus hops moving to big caramel. Taste is malt-forward, rich, caramel, moving a bit to something like puppy’s breath. Pretty soild.

Keg. Sweet light maltiness with a hint of floral hop aroma. Not particularly bitter or much hop aroma as the name might suggest. Easy drinking.

Bottle. Aromas are of sweet citrus with grassy notes and sweet malt. On the palate there is alot of sweet malt flavours with a bit of grassy hop character. Very dry and refreshing. Good session beer, but not a highly-hopped APA.

Copper coloured body with a tiny bit of orange tint and a thin tan head. Aroma of light hops, grain, apricots and some other light sweetness. Medium-bodied; Assertive hops up front with some metallic tastes, a touch of malt, some light caramel and perhaps some thin resiny notes. Aftertaste fairly mild, only showing a little bit of hops and nothing complex nor lasting enough to mention. Overall, a fairly light-bodied and underwhelming APA, but still - given the bottle’s proximity in location to where in was produced and where it was drunk - I’m very happy to have tried it. I sampled this 33 cL bottle purchased from SlowBeer in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia on 31-December-2009, sampled at home in Washington on 26-July-2010.

UPDATED: MAY 31, 2010 Just picked this one up at WCNW... Nice drop for an Aussie microbrew. Not quite as good as LCPA or Epic PA, but a great drop nonetheless. Get hops on the nose, with clean hoppy bite. Nice effort.

I get diacetyl in the aroma. Otherwise, nothing really stands out. Highly hopped?
Flavourless for me. Hardly any hops despite the claim.
