3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
330 ml bottle. Clear bronzed amber topped by a thick and lasting white head. Aromas of burnt orange, pie crust, grapefruit, pine and flowers. Taste starts out with a malty sweetness that’s soon overtaken by a firm citrus zest bitterness complemented by pine and floral notes. Long finish leading into a distinctly orange aftertaste. Really good stuff.

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
On tap at Mrs Parma, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out floral hops, some perfume and some astringent notes on the end. Flavour tastes like detergent, with lots of soapy, perfumey, floral hops. Dry finish with the soapy hops upfront. Doesn’t seem as good as the ratings suggest. Meh.

Nice. Clean hop profile and some almost sweet hops underpin the palate. Very friendly. Almost now world IPA for beginners but perhaps I’m being a bit unfair; this is good beer.

Wow. Poured a lovely creamy copper, Knockout nose of pine, resin, and a bit of sweet orange in there too. Full flavour of caramel, chewy fruits. Very moreish. Can see what all the fuss is about now.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Love this! Pours a light copper colour, with a yellowy off white head. Great aroma, probably my favourite bit about the beer. Pine, citrus but not so much pine that it is overpowering. Big hoppy hit and quite bitter but still well balanced! There is a good malty taste which works beautifully with the hops.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours orangey-copper with a thin head. The aroma is the best feature of this beer - piney hop, underlying malt, and a melange of citrus mixed in. The "hop bomb" unfortunately is a bit of an illusion. There’s a bitter front with pine resin, that kinda masks the other flavours from the nose, and it really drops off. You end up with a thin watery trail off. It has a good taste but lacks presence.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Good night Australia, Its been fun! A nice send off, a clear crisp, tasty IPA. Bold but accessible, pine resin but enough malt to capture the novice’s attention. A new appreciation Of IPA from a different perspective.

Dark orange, with a creamy eggshell head, which retains around the edge of the glass. Malty perfumed nose, with orange. Long taste. I can see why they call it hop bomb. The bitterness comes off sweet after a few breaths and the nose is reconfirmed in the palate. Delicious

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a lovely deep burnished copper, with a voluminous pillowy off white head resting atop. Looks just lovely, ever so inviting. Taking a deep breath, I pick up a complex melange of hop aromas; some dank, resiny hops, some citrusy and floral ones too. This beer smells delightfully hoppy.
First sip is interesting... First a wave of delicious malt, without ever having too much of that crystal malt character if you know what I mean, then a deeply complex hop flavour. Resiny, grapefruit, The bitterness is balanced with the malt perfectly. After a few more sips, the hop character is building, but never harsh. This beer is quite dangerously sessionable. Carbonation is just right, which also leads to its drinkability.
Overall, this beer is doing what a good IPA should; complexity of flavour, drinkability, and very pleasing for every sense.
