Sometimes you just want more. So we’ve made a beer with more of the best ingredients available, More malt. More hops. More flavour. This hop bomb is brewed in the tradition of the US West Coast IPA’s with generous hop additions throughout the boil and loads of dry hopping at the end of fermentation. Enjoy!

Really nice easily drinkable IPA. Full of aroma and flavour but feels retrained and well balanced at the same time.

Dark orange, with a creamy eggshell head, which retains around the edge of the glass. Malty perfumed nose, with orange. Long taste. I can see why they call it hop bomb. The bitterness comes off sweet after a few breaths and the nose is reconfirmed in the palate. Delicious

Pours a lovely deep burnished copper, with a voluminous pillowy off white head resting atop. Looks just lovely, ever so inviting. Taking a deep breath, I pick up a complex melange of hop aromas; some dank, resiny hops, some citrusy and floral ones too. This beer smells delightfully hoppy. First sip is interesting... First a wave of delicious malt, without ever having too much of that crystal malt character if you know what I mean, then a deeply complex hop flavour. Resiny, grapefruit, The bitterness is balanced with the malt perfectly. After a few more sips, the hop character is building, but never harsh. This beer is quite dangerously sessionable. Carbonation is just right, which also leads to its drinkability. Overall, this beer is doing what a good IPA should; complexity of flavour, drinkability, and very pleasing for every sense.

Wasnt given a glass so I will do this rating with the intent to update. Aroma is dank with hints of roast chook. Spicy hops, star anise, green pepper and cinnamon. Cant really give a true appearance rating, palate is bubbly with a rather harsh finish. Not very well balanced.

330mL bottle Pale gold beer with small but firm white head. Good nose! Grassy, piney, citrusy hops, a touch of tropical & passionfruit too, with some underlying toasty malt for good measure. Medium-full body, smooth texture, moderate carbonation. Delivers what the nose promises; decent measure of toasty pale malts, with zesty American citrusy, woody hops. Bitterness reasonably high, perhaps a bit light on for style. Highly drinkable IPA, gear towards the lower end of the spectrum - almost consider it more of a strong APA.

Solid amber colour with a thin, slightly off white head. Sediment is cascading down to the bottom of the glass. Really sweet aroma, tropical hops with a significant whiff of pineapple. Big upfront bitterness, but it doesn’t linger too long - unfortunately it does almost nullify a lot of the other flavours. There’s a slight sweet and fruity flavour to this - not terribly complex but present none the less. Palate isn’t as dense as I’d like, good carbonation but overall a little too watery; barely a three.

On tap at Dove and Olive in Sydney for Grand Final weekend. Nice copper colour with relatively small head. Smells of fruity pine and stonefruit. Nice resinous flavours with a good hop backbone with not too much malt. The bitterness not as big as I’d hoped but easy drinkable IPA. Nice brew Boat Rocker and one highly recommended.

Tap. Definitely a hop bomb! There’s so much citrus and stone fruit smell it’s almost more satisfying to smell the beer than drink it. The taste, luckily, lives up to the smell. Get it as fresh as possible!

Bottle from Mane Liquor. Pours vibrant orange with a slight haze to it and a small, firm white cap on top. Nose is very mandarin forward with a slight salt and zestiness while it retains a fairly resinous character throughout. The resinous note it carries translates to a nice backbone for the beer in the taste. Again, it’s very mandarin focused with a pinch of mint and zest while it comes across slightly dank driven. Drinks like a fresh tropical juice with that little bit of stickiness to give it an american feel. Solid as drop

From a bottle. Pours cloudy dark orange, coarse head, the name pretty much says it all with a big punch of resiny hops.

Pours with great enthusiasm to reach up with a tumultuous two inches of rocky white foam atop a deep, ruddy amber. Bright but speckled by a fine yeast. Big, bold, tropical fruit punch nose. Whacks the olfactories with hints of ripe tangelo, cumquat, mango and apricot with a spiced, camphorous, piney mix to meld it altogether. An initial rounded fruit sweetness precedes a sharp, herbal bitterness. Ample tropical fruit just like the nose with a hankering towards tangy citrus. Quite creamy and full in mouthfeel. Lasting, quenching, herbaceous finish with blushings of bitter, underripe citrus. Rich, toasted malts compliment it well. Very clean and refreshing stuff. So deadly sessionable. This is a killer pale ale. Well crafted, fresh and surprisingly good. Loved it! (33cL, The Liquor Shed, Jandakot)
