Misfit is a beer that belongs to no style. It’s just doing its own thing and doing it with flair using Belgian malt, old school hops, and an imported yeast train from the Ardennes. Who cares if you don’t follow what everyone else thinks you should? This beer is for misfits everywhere.

Bottle at Taps Beer Bar, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a clear light amber with a frothy white head and lots of broken lace. The aroma is big Belgian yeast, light citrus hop. The flavour is moderate bitter with a mineral yeast, fruity citrus bitter palate and a lingering bitter finish. Medium bodied with lively carbonation. Exactly as it says on the label really!

Has a clean aroma. Smells like an abbey beer. Dark golden in colour with a thick white head. Interesting taste but not bizarre and strangely balanced. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

From a 330ml bottle on 20/11/2014. Pours a cloudy light golden with a medium white head. The aroma feature spicy notes with quite a bit of Belgian yeast. Flavour wise, it a bit of a cross between a saison and a Belgian blonde, with some big, dry, herbal hops at the back. Has a fullish body and lively carbonation. Another good’n from Boatrocker.

Aroma: bubblegum, banana, clove not a lot of aroma as noted on the bottle. Nice belgian blond aroma. Appearance: pale, hazy with a nice white head. Taste is medium bitterness, lightly sour and medium sweetness. Palate is really nice and think. Overall enjoyed this beer. Pretty straight forward and my feeling is that the main tastes are from the 3522 Wyyeast. Enjoyed it though.

Like it says – a hobby Belgian ale. Less sweet and more bitter than most Belgian ales. Pours straw colour with thin head. Strong alcohol finish despite only 6.2%. It’s okay.

Pours bright orange with a white head. Sweet citrus and saison- like aromas with some Belgian yeast. Flavour is similar and exactly as described, with strong yeast, soft malt and a hoppy finish. A mish mash of flavours, but somehow it works

Bottle from Slowbeer. Bright golden-orange with 1cm thick head, candied sugar, yeast, cinnamon, slight banana notes, spicy, hoppy finish. Really enjoyed this one.
