1 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 3/20 deyholla (3527) - Waukesha, USA - JUL 28, 2009
On tap at MBG Summer Festival. Poured bright gold with a white head. Aroma was unpleasantly dominated by the Chipotle notes, which did not combine well at all with the undertone of mango. It was painful for me to smell the beer. The same goes for the flavor which transitioned from very sweet mango to spicy chipotle. I hate to say this but a bad unbalanced beer imo.

draft at the bob. this was fantastic! hazy orange with minimal head. aroma of tropical fruit, spice, coriander, and pepper. flavor massive in fresh mango with a huge chipotle finish. a beautiful medley of sweet and spice. great stuff
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Tmoney99 (7297) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - AUG 4, 2010
Draft at BOB brewpub. Poured clear brownish orange color with an average off-white frothy head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate hot green chili and small fruit aroma. Medium to full body with a sticky texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy warm chili and small sweet flavor and medium to heavy hot finish of moderate to long duration. Interesting and my expectations were met.
3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 BBB63 (5023) - La Porte, Indiana, USA - AUG 2, 2009
MiBG Summer Fest 2009, Friday Session: Clean golden hue with a very good lasting frothy head. The aroma is mango baby!!! Along with some light Chipotle peppers, caramel, and bready malts. the taste starts sweet and quite fruity but then wow... the finish sneaks up on you with a warming peppery after tone that last a long time on the palate and throat. Some mild bready and crystal malts are found on occasion. As stated, the initial mouth feel is smooth and slightly sticky before the dry peppery finish. NEATO, I happened to dig the complex flavor profile of this brew, I guess you could call this a love it or hate it brew. Try one on for yourself and see what you think.
