UPDATED: MAR 30, 2012 A hazed golden ale with a thin lacing off white head. In aroma, a nice caramel malt with nice herbal hops. In mouth, a nice biscuit with floral hops, warming alcohol, very nice and warming. On tap at the brewpub, March 17, 2012.

In short: A basic IPA that doesn’t offer much beyond resinous bitterness. Not a pleasure to drink.
How: Tap at brewpub
The look: Clear golden body topped by a small off-white head leaving nice good lacings on the glass
In long: Nose is low on aromatic with only mild hops that are in the usual floral/piney/citrus kind, hard to describe exactly because the aroma was rather weak. Taste offers a solid but not-so-flavorful bready malt backbone with a bit of oily caramel. Hopping dominates the beer with a strong resinous character that provides a sticky bitterness. Not many flavors in this pint other than simply resinous bitterness. A bit of a letdown here. A average ordinary beer that didn’t match this brewpub classy rustic charms and superior fine cuisine. Bobcat is really not a drunken frat boys hangout. This is truly a respectable “No shoes, No shirt, No service” type of pub. And I’m totally fine with that, I can dress-up when I go to a pub. What I’m afraid of is a walking into a “No life, No service” pub. Then I’m screwed.

Sampled from the tap at the brewpub. Poured a clear deep orange amber with a white head that dissipated to the edges and laced slightly. Aroma was full of pine and resin with a nice citrus to calm the bite slightly. Flavor began with not as strong pine and was joined by citrus as well as some light grain for a backbone.
