CaptainCougar (4601), Rockville, Maryland, USA Nov 19, 2007 Sampled on tap at the brewpub on 9/16/07: Pours a transparent light copper bronze with a thin, wispy-lacing froth of white head. Aroma of sweet toasty caramel malt and a hint of noble hops. Body starts fairly full with nice toasty caramely malty sweetness, balanced with some earthy bittering hops toward a clean bittersweet finish. A nice festbier. Glouglouburp (1876), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Jul 27, 2006 Clear golden body with a small white head. Barn/leather aroma. Taste is wheat and pilsner-ish hops. Draft at Burlington festival 2006. Pleasant pub beer. I didn’t know there was a brewpub in Bristol Vermont. Come to think of it, I didn’t know Bristol Vermont existed. muzzlehatch (4424), Burlington, Vermont, USA Jan 27, 2004 On tap at the cafe. Pale golden with significant bubble action, medium fast-decaying head. Very fresh buttery, new grass aroma; hints of smokiness in the nose and throughout, bit of pepper, low hoppiness, very smooth and easy-drinking but quite flavorful, a very well-crafted mainstream lager.
