In short: A creamy, nutty and refreshing session brown ale. A superior example of this simple style
How: Tap at brewpub
The look: Clear light bronze body topped by a small beige head
In long: Nose of freshly roasted cashews and freshly baked whole-wheat bread. Mouthfeel is round and creamy, soft bread crust, walnuts, a bit of caramel, some notes of refreshing fruit salad and a light tartnesss. Straightforward beer but nonetheless a very good example of this simple style, nothing super-exiting but I could drink pints and pints of this basic beer. Nice one, a tad underrated. Bobcat is located in the heart of Bristol, so Bobcat named a beer after the downtown part of Bristol, the whole 500 square feet of it.

Sampled from the tap at the brewpub. Poured a clear amber brown with an off-white head that dissipated to the edges. Aroma was full of dark grains and bread with a hint of bitter chocolate. Flavor had a slight chocolate note with growing dark grain and bread notes.

Draft at the brewpub - Poured a clear dark brown in color with a small light tan head. Aroma was medium of roasted malts with a medium hopiness. Flavor followed the same. Finish is malty (roasted) with a small amount of hop bitterness. While I would not consider highly rated, this beer is very drinkable... a good one to repeat in future visits.
