Glouglouburp (1872), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Apr 24, 2007 Clear golden body topped by a little ring of foam. Light body, very light body. No aroma. Hints of pale malt presence with distant honey. Barely any hops noticeable. The soft carbonation is appropriate for this particularly light beer. Take half a pint of a boring amber ale and fill it up with water. There was no problem with the beer, just an almost complete lack of taste. Mild is an understatement. (Rating #983) MartinT (4241), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Apr 16, 2007 My Bottom Line:
Fruity cereals slowly build caramel hints in a lenient body which lets itself be drunk. This Mild Ale is an easy quencher, as it should be, but pales in comparison to that brewed by The Alchemist, a few miles away.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A ring of foam surrounds the pale copper.
-The pale maltiness isn’t too distinct, and therefore somewhat boring.
-Feeble leafy hops pass by, but don’t create much of an impression.
-This is well brewed, but overall forgettable.
On tap at the brewpub.
