muzzlehatch (4422), Burlington, Vermont, USA Oct 21, 2004 Pint at the brewpub. Tawny reddish-gold, fairly clear and dark, little head. Lovely strong malty-sweet brown sugary nose, hints of toasted malt. In the mough, excellent balance between wholesome granulated cereals, sugary caramel, roasted sweet potatos and perhaps a hint of filet mignon. Well-rounded, dry and slightly vegetal/herbal finish...pumpkin stew. Could be a bit fuller, but a marvellous Octoberfest overall.
