Bottled, 33 cl. Deep ruby/dark brown colour, quickly diminishing fizzy beige head. Intensive dried fruity, liquorique nose. Tasteing starts fizzy followed by a rather sweet aroma containing dried cherries, caramel, sugar and alcohol underpainted gently by licorice., mouthfeel is slick. Liquorique, dry finish escorted by earth, licorice and tart fruits.

Bottle 33cl shared by Michel thanks. A dark beer with huge head, got gushing. Aroma is on dark candy sugar and belgian yeast, low complexity but drinckable.

Lore (1005) - Budapest, HUNGARY - APR 27, 2014
dark mahogany colour, huge, long lasting beige head; fruity-caramellic aroma, taste of raisin, figs, caramel, some bitterness and spicy alcohol; correct belgian strong ale

Moebbels (288) - FINLAND - APR 2, 2014
A very dark mahogany body covered by a well-lasting light brown head. Nose has notes of prunes, red grapes, dark malts and sherry. Taste is quite intense, starting with a rich sweetness that leads to a dry long finish. Carbonation is immense and makes it a bit difficult to enjoy the taste to the fullest, body is on the rich side. Quite nice but a little over-carbonated.

Bouteille de 33 cl. Couleur cola, mousse moyenne de tenue très correcte. De subtils arômes de fruits noirs (mûres, myrtilles), framboises, pruneaux, malts torréfiés, alcool assez présent. Carbonnation moyenne? Trouvée à Vanuxeem - Ploegstaert.

Opaque dark brown - black beer. Big pale cream - tan head. Palate is light and minerally crisp. Super smooth dark malts, no roast or bitterness. Light malt cream and bubblegum ester. Nice candy sweetness underneath. Very light spice. Nice touch of mellow citrus before a smooth and semi dry finish, Comes together well. Tasty.

Bottle. Pours a clear amber beer with a medium sized, beige head on top. Aroma is herbal, cinnamon and booze with touches of Belgian fruity yeast. Flavour is very sweet and much of cinnamon with alcohol. Yeasty, sweet aftertaste. Quite an oily, sticky mouthfeel. Just an average Belgian beer.

Very dark ale, almost like a german dunkel. Aroma is slightly sour and smoky. Appearance is sort of dull, and taste is mildly bitter, with some nice dark roasted malt. A different sort of Belgian ale.

Countbeer (4320) - Best of E-Town mit ein Brauhaus, NETHERLANDS - APR 30, 2013
Bottle: Medium sized, pretty vast and slowly changing creamy vanilla lish colored foamy hea on top of a dark beer. It’s color is hazy deep red ish brown but when held into a light source it’s color changes into a more hazy ruby colored beer. Aroma is not bad: toffee, light toast, dark ripe fruits like raisin, berries and strawberries, a hint of barley malts, some caramel, hint of soft spices like sprinkles of cinnamon and a hint, a hint of something very light liquorice a like. Flavours is fruity, berries like strawberries, some toast, barley malts, cream, bitters, light sweet, some crispy floral (sour ish ness...), hints of toffee, caramel and liquorice wood. Aftertaste is fruity with again the raspberry, light dry, light floral, some toast, hint of malts and a decent bitterness. Low to medium carbonation, soft light creamy and tingly mouthfeel, a very good medium body which has the power to go towards a fuller one and a nice lighter creamy texture. Guess this beer would be interesting to taste the different years from, ranging from 1 to 5 years. Seems like a nice cellar beer.
