Cask (handpump) at the Bricklayers Arms Yorkshire Beer Festival on 23 February 2011. Clean bright gold colour and in great condition. Plenty of assertive, aromatic, floral hop on the nose. Falls away a little on the palate - the same elements in evidence but a little less prominent. Some quite spicy notes. Clean, zesty, fresh mouthfeel.

Cask @ The Angel, Manchester. The pour’s light amber with a modest white head. The aroma’s of sweet pastry, white grape, toasted grass. The taste is woodland, spruce, juicy watermelon. Nice sweet fruits. Light woody hop finish. Light, smooth body. Supple. Overall, quite pleasing stuff.

Cask at the Bricklayer’s Arms BF, 2011. Clear yellow-gold with a fading foam head. Nose holds some sulphur, hay and mild lemon. Lightly sweet with baked bread, some straw, modest honey and lemon zest. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Finishes with hints of sulphur, straw and dough. Alright, aside from the sulphur, of course.

UPDATED: SEP 18, 2008 Cask-conditioned at the Bag ONails, Bristol, 18/8/08. This hit the spot across the board. Deep, clear gold in colour, with a small yet tight white head that left plenty of lacing down the glass. Beautifully balanced, with juicy citrus hops supported by a hint of pine resin, accompanied by slightly doughy, fruity malt. The finish was dry, without being mouth-puckering. I could have drunk this all night, and certainly did long enough to regret it. Excellent all round.
