2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 jbrus (4990) - Delft, - OCT 2, 2001
UPDATED: AUG 4, 2004 Aroma is just a hint of sweet chocolat mixed with cola. Ruby/brown color, light brown head, large head, good lace. Not very strong flavors, some malts, light roasted, hint of coffee, sweet, bitterness in the very end, soft and a little warming. Is this a bock?

330ml can. Roasty and sweet aromas. Pours dark copper, with some thin creamy tan head and lacing. LIght body and high carbonation. Taste is malty, some roasty and sweet. Correct sweet aftertaste. A bit watered down.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 GBZ59 (300) - BARCELONA (Catalonia), SPAIN - APR 12, 2012
Bote de 330ml. Servida fresco, no fría. Copa Pokal. Notas de ene´12. Saboreada muchas veces tanto de grifo como en botella/bote. Color ambar oscuro y rubi intenso a contraluz.
330ml can. Served at cool temperature .Pokal glass. Review on jan´12.Enjoyed many times both on-tap & bottle/can. Dark amber in color, deep ruby to the light. Off-white creamy, medium size bubbled, crown. Nice lacing on sides. Roasted malts with chocolate hints to the nose. Toasted malt upfront, dry bitterness in mouth. Velvet palate but unfortunately quite fizzy sensation. Medium body, heavy carbonation. Subtle herbal finish. Wide availability –many supermarkets & non specialized snack-bars- represents its most important danger. Watch up correct temperature & bottle/service conditions before enjoyed it . Actually a lot of gallons show lackness of proper transport & service requeriments.

Can 33cl. Black beer with off-white head with good formation of big bubbles but easily dissipited. Aroma is toasted malts and some mitallic hints. Cereal and toasted malt taste. On palate results light bidied with medium carbonation and average density. Watery final. I expected more about this beer....

I had this beer poured from the bottle in a bar in Barcelona. The beer was a dark brown/black color with an average-sized, creamy, off-white head that had little retention and average cling. The beer had a toasty malt aroma with some chocolate, caramel, and earthy hops. The taste was somewhat sweet with a bit of chocolate and grains in the flavor. It had a creamy, rich body with low carbonation and was pretty smooth.

Can. I keep misreading the label ’damn’. Red brown, golden head. Light sugary roast aroma. Bready base, light roast, minimal hop balance. Medium to light body, light for a Dunkles, no idea why they consider this a Bock . Sticky quick finish, light grassy hop aftertaste. Not exiting. Damn.

330 ml bottle. Clear ruby/amber with a big, creamy beige head. Aroma is slightly roasted malt and caramel. Flavor is sweet malt, light caramel, toast, a bit fruity and moderate bitterness. Medium body and malty aftertaste. Quite all right and pretty quaffable, but a bit to straight forward to impress.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Sevenlee (535) - Central Coast, NSW, AUSTRALIA - JUL 25, 2011
Pours almost totally black with a short lived fizzy off-white head. Aroma sweet lightly roasted malt, caramel and dark fruity notes. Taste is sweetish and caramel with a slight roastiness. There is a slight bitterness in the finish. Texture is a little watery. Not terrible but not a lot to rave about.

Bottle from El Corte Ingles, Bilbao, Basque Country, Northern Spain, 08.07.11 consumed at home 14.07.11 Pours dark brown with a very ruby colour throughout, in fact when held againast the light it’s actually a beautiful deep ruby red, tan head. Soft in the mouth. Bit of plummy fruitiness, touch sweet, easy drinker, little soft creamy weak creamy coffee. It’s ok. A6 A4 T6 P3 Ov12 3.1
