Bière très agréable quand on aime celle dont le goût reste longtemps en bouche. Belle couleur et beaux arômes. Manque peut être de "surprise" dans le goût. Photos sur mon instagram : splatch25 Have a look to my instagram : splatch25

Bottle @ home shared with Dutchdrebus. Clear dark red to brown color with a deep dark red glare coming through, medium sized, lightly creamy, quite quickly diminishing light brown head. Aroma has malts, some sweetness, dried fruits. Taste malts, lightly leaves, lightly overripe fruits, raisins, lightly sweet-bitter. Medium body and carbonation. Quite like this actually.

Small bottle of 250 ml at home, poured into a snifter. Very nice dark mahogany colour with a thin line of beige head that disappears fast too. Aroma is malty with dark fruits and some light chocolate. Very sweet on the taste, with a hint of alcohol, although ABV is only 5,4%. A bit tart too, with a short finish of light bitterness. Full on the body with average carbonation. Overall quite nice beer.

Bottle. A - Dark cola brown with slight ruby-brown hues. Average sized foamy beige head that had pretty good retention and left a nice thin lacing. S - Not much aroma comes out. Some toasted/slightly roasted dark malt. Maybe a touch of caramel/sweetness, but it is pretty thin. T - The slightly roasted malt is upfront with a good dose of caramel malt. Sweet but not overpowering and a nice slight bitter touch. Malts had a fairly grainy taste to them. M - Medium to light body with average carbonation. Pretty smooth and a touch watery. D - Very drinkable beer. Provides some sweetness and some bitterness (although pretty minimal hop taste). On the lighter side for a bock, but it went down easy. Notes: Had this in a bar in Barcelona while watching a game. It isn’t quite a bock, or at least what I think as a bock, but rather blurs the lines with a schwartzbier. Maybe due to the weather in Barcelona, the bocks are lighter and more lager-like. Anyway, nice fairly tasty beer that was better than what I was potentially expecting in Spain.

Bottle. Dark brown body with a ruby hued and a small, off-white head. Nose is caramel, biscuits, bread, nuts and hints of chocolate and alcohol. Taste is roasted bread, caramel, nuts, and hints of chocolate and dry straw. Medium to full body, medium carbonation. Perhaps not the most complex of bocks, but very easy drinking and a well done execution of the style makes me think this is a rather underrated beer.

Countbeer (4749) - Best of E-Town mit ein Brauhaus, NETHERLANDS - OCT 19, 2013
Bottle: Served in a Chouffe glass: Medium sized creamy beige foamy head on top of a beautiful dark ruby colored beer. Aromas of cardboard, some malts, some toast, light marzepin, some prunes, darker sweets. Flavours of toffee, raisin, toast, some malts, some hay toast, light bitter, some prunes, light yeast touch. Pretty nice. Aftertaste raisin, prunes, malts, some toast and some sugars with a light malty bitter edge. Low carbo, soft creamy mouthfeel, low to meeium bodied and a light creamy texture.
