3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottled 250ml. -as Vanderghinste Oud Bruin. Courtesy of and shared with Marko (thanks!). Red/brown coloured, small to medium sized beige head, quite sourish nose. Sourish fruity and light spicy taste with notes of raisins and some caramel near the end. Pleasant but a bit too ordinary.

Good, sour ale! Good color, special aroma! Too salty! Long aftertaste! One bottle is enough!

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Love this label. Very retro. The beer pours a hazy brown. The sour Bruin notes pop out of the bottle immediately. Nice and sharp but not tongue twisting with sourness.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
As Vanderghinste Oud Bruin, 0.25l, found in Leuven. POrued a brown/dark amber shiny body with a slightly off white head. Funky aroma, dust, raisins, nicely sourish. Nice sourish raisiny taste too, mild, dry, slightly watery, but refreshing and a quality beer indeed.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
11.2oz bottle from Binny’s Lincoln Park. Batch code 05. Pours a glowing, deep brown colored body with a slight reddish hue. Finger-width, creamy and frothy, beige head that dissipates slowly and leaves a nice lacing throughout. Aroma is vinous fruits with a nice sour cherry, some oak, a light caramel malt sweetness, and a touch of vinegar. Flavor is similar. Fairly sour up front before some wood comes in to smooth things out and a light malt sweetness provides a solid balance. Cherries and some other berries grow towards the end before this finishes dry and woody with some acidity, a nice tartness, and a light vinegar note. Lengthy aftertaste following a light, smooth body and a somewhat lively, medium-light carbonation. Overall, a pretty solid oud bruin. Somewhat straightforward, but balanced nicely between the tart fruits, wood, and light malt sweetness. Dry and a bit acidic, but clean and very easy drinking. Good beer.

Appearance: Clear dark and subtle red color with a unusual small white head that leaves some lacing.
Aroma: Sour fruity and some wood.
Palate: Medium body. A bit sweet, and a fine bitterness. Average carbonation. Dry texture.
Taste: Balanced sour fruity.
Overall impression: A really pleasant nice sour ale. I am really becoming a sour ale fan. Strange….

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Musty basement, sour balsamic, and sweet plum aroma. Deep chestnut with a large beige head. Musty barnyard, light oak, smooth sweet plummy tart flavor. Light body, soft carbonation. Very subdued sourness combined with the light body makes this a very easy drinking beer.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Waarschijnlijk een prima bier in zijn soort, maar niet mijn favoriete stijl. Ziet er wel smakelijk uit, aroma is ook prettig, maar de zurige smaak is aan mij niet zo besteed.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
bronze-reddish pour producing a large, creamy, barely tan head. Aroma is semi sweet, but with heavy woody, slightly sour notes. Taste is refreshing and both sweet and sour at the same time. Bitterness is low to non existent. Body is light with soft carbonation.
