A very decent sour ale, though a bit on the sweet side. A nice funk tempered with some caramel and tart apple. Tried at Mulready’s during the Dirty Kanza in 2014.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Old world red/brown sour. Awesome ruby red color and sweet/tart aroma and taste. Tart somewhat overwhelms the sour, though a very drinkable ale!

From bottle. Dark, chocolate brown with minimal head. Lots of fruit (sour more than sweet) and cork on nose. Crisp and tart tasting - raspberries, early picked cherries and measured oak sweetness. Refreshing.

3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Fruity, cherry notes. But not an overpowering sour by any stretch of the imagination. In fact, I could see this serving as a very fine "beginner’s sour." I found the finish a little weak and leaving me wanting a bit more, but still an enjoyable sour, nonetheless.

Bottle 0,25l. Pours a mahogany colour with a thick dense light tan head. Aroma of sour tart. Taste of cherry, tart, hints of sweetness and warmth. Has a bit of a thicker mouthfeel, lively carbonation, leaves a sour aftertaste.
