250ml Bottle. This pours a very cloudy light golden body topped with a medium head that soon disperses into a thick lacing. Its aroma is coriander citrus with slight hints of malt and yeast. The taste is very minimal and hardly noticeable when drinking. A second sip gives some herbs, orange and malts but its really subtle but afterwards there’s a smoky sweet finish. This beer is for you if you like a light taste but there are lots more complex wit beers out there

On bottle at Falstaff in Kortrijk, Belgium. Hazy orange color, good foam. Medium aroma intensity ; floral, lighter citrus - good fruitiness and some yeast influence. Medium body & complexity. Some bitterness- very well balanced. Enjoyable ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: JUN 12, 2015 Bockor’s Hoegaarden epigone, enjoyed in an outdoors café in Ghent. Deep golden blonde with good fizz, frothy snow white head. Soft wheat character with the usual coriander and curaçao notes, relatively subtly so (fortunately, I’d even add), refreshing touch of lemon, bit bready, straw; soft and lean body, banana accent, lightly spiced with a fresh lemon peel accent and of course the coriander, light wheat sourishness, sweetish bready malts, bit yeasty finish. Boring and totally lacking in originality but technically okay - just another one in the standardized witbier style. Nevertheless, considering Bockor (now Vander Ghinste) used to make only plain lagers and awfully sweet ’lambic’ derivatives before their Omer became a national hit, this is certainly decent for what it pretends to be and surely no less acceptable than Hoegaarden Witbier itself, perhaps even a bit more genuine.

Bottled. Hazy yellow colour with a mediumsized white head. Aroma is wheat, some spruce, pine, spices as well as some slight sour wooden notes. Flavour is quite similar with a nice tartness, that borders to a slight acidicness, balanced up with a nice spiciness as well as some malts. Very refreshing and actually a rather nice Witbier with an own character for once. Tonguetickling carbonation.

0,25 bottle courtesy of Vlada (Belgrade-Serbia). Pours a very pale yellow, semi-filtered appearance, little gassy white head. Nose: spicy, lemony, live yeast. Mouth: fizzy carbonation (Belgium), balanced blanche, in style, refreshing. Spices, lemon peel. Really a nice one. Thank you Vlada.

Pale lemon yellow cloudy young still fermenting white wine colour (Sturm in Austria, let’s say grey pinot colour). Enormous soapy top. Light sweet, clean and fresh citrus aroma, medium body, good Belgian carbonation. Somehow neutral, which can be quality too. Very crisp.
