COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

UPDATED: JUL 13, 2009 As a mono-linguist I can’t tell what the label or the www site are telling us. I can report what my tastebuds tell me - a splendid lager, beatifully integrated flavours. Hops and malt dance like angels on the tongue.

A Mes rate: bottle thanks to the kind lady who owned the hotel we stayed at after Pre ZBF.
Clear yellow gold colour with a bright white head and plenty of lacing. Faintly sweet delicate malt aroma with an unexpected hint of christmas spice. Good hoppy flavour with more of the malt in the background. Slight cereal. Faint wheaty note. Really well balanced and drinks way below its strength. Pretty decent for what it is.

Gold blond coloured beer with some light carbonation and a small white head. Very hoppy, grainy , light sweet aroma. Full palate. Finish is bitter, herby with a light alcoholic malty touch. Special one, not bad.

Blond lager with a white head, hoppy, grainy and malty in nose, thin fresh body, fizzy, purely bitter on palate with hints of malt and yeast, quite long bitter finish, B@home.

Beer for the common man - which I should probably appreciate as such, but as I started with the snobbish gueze and then worked to this, the subtlety was lost on my poor pallet.

I have a keen suspicion this beer was once known as Bockor Export and has been aptly renamed, nè? Very fine head with textbook lace over metallic golden beer. Dry-grainy nose; dusty, warm grainharvest. Very grainy pils (sorry, export), with some pale malt tones and a discreet just-not-bitter hoppy reference. A bit metallic, but excellently balanced. More than light bodied, if little slickness. Superb Pilsener for a session beer, drinks extremely light & well, without any lack of taste.

This clear yellow beer poured with a modest creamy white head and a fruity aroma. Tastes like a good clean lager. Nice crisp flavor with slightl hop bitterness.

Bottle at Den Bras in Kortrijk. Pours gold with a creamy white head that laced decently. Medium plus body with spritely carbonation. Flavor of bready pale malt withs lots of grassy hop. Flavors are pretty strong. Finishes dry and nicely bitter. Touches of light fruit off and on. Refreshing.

20110616 at the brewery (33 cl bottle): A clear yeloow beer with a good white head. The aroma is somewhat malty with notes of hay. The taste is some malty and some sweetness with a small nic dry-bitterness. The finish is still some malty and hop bitterness. Full mouth-feeling. A pilsener with a nice bitterness.

33cl bottle from the woman at our B&B in Kortrijk. Clear gold, thick rocky white head. it’s absolutely fine. A rather understated strong lager. I rather liked the cereal flavours and some fullness in mouth. Very drinkable, nothing to put you off. Needs a bit more hop on the finish perhaps to make it a bit more interesting, but if my local on the corner served this, as it would in Kortrijk, I wouldn’t complain
