Muy buena Ale belga, muy equilibrada, sin rastro de sabor alcohólico, muy al estilo de la Rochefort 8, con la graduación alcohólica perfecta para que uno note todos los matices apreciables. La verdad muy recomendable.

Bottled at La Fleur en Papier Doré, Brussels. Dark brown with cream head. Sweetish, fruity, malty beer, fairly rich with a sultana / raisin note. Quite smooth and easy on the palate but not as complex as the deScription would suggest. It’s fine.

Tap at Paters Vaetje, Antwerp. Poured a murky dark brown with a frothy white head and lots of clingy lace. The aroma is rich sweet malt, raisins, red berry fruits, some alcohol. The flavour is moderate sweet, light bitter with a smooth fruity, sweet malt, light dry yeast, light hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Bottle from Dranken Verheyen in Poppel. The beer is dark brown colored and has a stable cream colored head, with livingly CO2. The aroma is malty and fruity, with tones of chocolate and caramel, and some hints of raisins and a little alcohol. The taste is full bodied, sweet and complex with notes from the aroma and in the end a nice and intense bitterness with warming alcohol notes. The finish is light dry, bitter and warming alcohol.

33cl bottle at home. Pours a darkbrown colour with a reddish glow. A decent off-white head which depletes quite fast. Aroma of dark fruits, chocolate, raisins, caramel. Taste is nicely balanced between bitter and sweetness. Finish is dry with a slight sourness. Notes of raisins, caramel, toffee, herbs, roasted malts. Texture is oily with decent carbonation.

Clear dark chocolate brown colour with a creamy pale head that laces down the glass. Surprisingly fruity for a caramel, chocolate and malt dark beer. Smooth and light on the tongue, with a herb and dark malt aftertaste. Far lighter than you would think an 8.5 vol. would be.
