COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The beer Cuvée des Jacobins is unblended old lambic, aged for 18 months or more. It has a robust character but is beautiful and sophisticated with a full body and overtones of vanilla, dried cherry, stone fruit and cocoa. It is a complex, beautiful sour beer.

Draft. Really nice, tart, Flanders Red. Aroma of vanilla. Very sweet, very tart, with strong presence of cherries. Beautiful tartness on the palate. A great beer to pair with a hearty meal, or even as dessert. I?d prefer this one in fall or winter.

Bottle. Deep red with a thin lasting off-white head. Aroma is sour, of cherries, vanilla, citrus, wood. Taste is sweet, quite sour. Lots of cherry, very acidic. Dry finish with a little more vanilla. Refreshing. Pretty light bodied, average carbonation, oily. Really good sour.

Very complex sour. The palate alone leads you on a journey through a sweet, tart, and sour progression. Loaded with tons of flavor, Bockor presents flavors of cherry, green apple, oak, vanilla, and plums. I love this beer. It’s great for sipping and very satisfying to all of your senses.

7/II/2012 33cl bottle from Brugs Bierfestival @ home - BB: 17/I/2014 (2012-107)

Clear red to red brown beer, small yellowish head, unstable, bit adhesive. Aroma: fruity, red berries, sour cherries, bretta touch, wood notes. MF: good carbon, light to medium body. Taste: fruity start, bit sweet sugary, strawberries, lemon juice, some tobacco, dry. Aftertaste: lemon juice, very sour but still some sweetness lingering, dry wood notes. Very pleasant easy drinkable beer. Too bad they don’t sell this in Belgium...

Pours dark dark red with a smell off white head. Aromas of cherries, slight vanilla, other dark fruits. Taste, sour apples and tart cherries with vanilla undertones, nice sour acidic finish, dry finish with mouth puckering that you can’t prevent. This is delicious.

Bottle pours dark red, clear with nice white head...good amount of carbonation. Aroma very nice, dark fruit, acidity and complex. Taste full of dark fruit, mild sourness, very nice.
