Medium tan head. Clear brown body. Vinous wooden red berries
aroma with yoghurty notes. Sweet-acidic wooden wild berry taste
with yoghurty notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel with
astringent sting. Dry-sweet-acidic wild berries aftertaste with
wooden yoghurty notes. A good one. Clean and highly drinkable,
but still subtle. (0.33l bottle, wine monopoly, Triaden

330 ml bottle. Dark reddish brown colour. Crystal clear. Medium-sized white head initially, but it falls down quickly. Nice sweet vinegary aroma with dried fruit and a little funk. Nice acidic flavours with a good dose of candy-like flavours. Red berries, vanilla og cherries. A little too sweet and slightly artificial, but overall a really nice Flemish red.

Pours dark reddish brown with a tiny off white head. Aromas of sour cherries, barnyard and a little caramel. Tons of energy on the palate - a cascade of sour berries, barnyard funk and those sour coke bottle candies that the kiddies like. Also lots of grapey, winey flavours. A delicious sour- I’ll be having this one again.

330 ml bottle into tulip glass, 04 stamped on the back? Pours fairly crystal clear deep red color with a nice 1-2 finger fairly dense light khaki head with good retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Spotty foamy lacing clings to the glass. Aromas of huge tart cherry, apple, raspberry, red wine vinegar, hay, grass, oak, earth, funk, leather, herbal, and light yeast spiciness. Fantastic aromas with great balance and complexity. Taste of huge tart cherry, apple, raspberry, hay, grass, pear, earth, light vinegar, pepper, red wine, oak, funk, and yeast spiciness. Big fruity and acidic sourness on the finish; with lingering notes of tart fruits, hay, grass, pepper, earth, red wine, funk, oak, and light yeast spices on the finish for a good bit. Very nice balance and complexity of flavors; even with the big acidity, there is still a good malt backbone making this easy to sip; no cloying flavors at all on the finish other than acidity. Medium carbonation and body; with a slick and acidic mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a slight warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a highly fantastic Flanders red! Great flavor complexity and balance; and quite smooth to sip on despite acidity. I will definitely be getting some more of this to have on hand, incredible.

UPDATED: FEB 10, 2013 Poured into snifter. Pours an opaque ruby brown with a finger of tan head that disperses quickly. Decent lacing. Aroma is sour, cherries and grapes. Flavors of cherries, plums and grapes with a nice tartness that lingers. Moderate to strong carbonation and light body give it a refreshing mouthfeel. Overall, a delicious flemish sour.

Bottle:   Deep ruby, moderate tannish head, foamy, little lacing.   Oakish and immature cherries on the nose, tart yet somewhat sweet.   Sweet and tart on the tongue, seems like a mix of young and old cherries, on oak, with a dry backside.   Very simple, but enjoyable.   Seems a little artificial in its sweetness tho.   Body and mouthfeel are average.   Very dry and tart finish.   Good, but simple.

Absolutely stunning a delicious sour beer! Found on a dusty shelf in a small beer store in New Jersey, those people don’t know what they are missing. Aroma was great. Strong must, vinegar and stale malt. My mouth watered at first whiff. Pour was a murky dirty red with no bubbles or head. Taste was perfect. Mouth puckering sour and full of flavor. Heavy sour cherry that never ventures into the "sweet" territory with strong doses of vinegar and malt. The finish leaves the top of the mouth feeling the sour sting for quite some time after the swallow. Carbonation was mild but fitting. Wish I could get this regularly.

Pours dark amber-red with a smallish light tan head. Nose is woodsy, sharp, with a creamy undertone. Cherries and vanilla ice cream. Sweet and sour flavor. No bitterness. Medium mouthfeel. Slight barnyard funkiness in the end of the nose. Very good.
