Reddish brown pour, mostly white head. Nice tart red wine vinegar, wet wood, some light fruit. Flavors are incredibly well integrated. Loads of balsamic notes, red wine, sour fruit. Incredible.

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pours a dark reddish amber with a light beige head. Extremely potent aroma. Enticing as well. Very, very sour and tart, with grape, cherry, and apple. Taste is so sour it made my mouth pucker! Cherry and apple come out the most, grape is still there, with vanilla notes underneath. This is quite oily and sticky when you drink it. Carbonation is softer, yet is easily apparent. And needless to say the aftertaste is strongly sour and tart. It lingers a long time also. I must say that this is the most extreme example of this this style that I have ever tasted. If you like these, you will be thrilled. I am beside myself that I have found something this delicious.

I’m not usually a fan of this style - but I was impressed here. The body was a very nice and clean ruby red with light bubbles. The aroma filled your face with rich cherries, cocoa and earth - a lot like a bold red wine. The taste was as sush, but with a distinctive tart finished followed by a lingering yeast aftertaste. Nicely done.

When I started getting into sours a friend suggested this beer as a reference. This beer is not over tart, goes down easy, and is very refreshing. Please try this one if you want to taste some sour goodness.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
330 ml. bottle. Pours a thick ivory head, long retention, with extensive lacing, over a clear, reddish copper (SRM 20) body....nose is acid, cherry, barnyard funk....taste is dried cherry, hints of plum, light cocoa, chocolate, hints of vanilla, medium acetic/lactic acid sourness, musty funk, minimal hints of sweetness as the sour ebbs on the finish....mouth feel light of medium, carbonation adds tingle to the sourness. This meets the style of a Flanders Red Ale (part of the larger Sour Ale grouping) exactly. The sourness, complex aromas and flavors of this beer are exceptional. It is quite delicious. 4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Dark, ruby color with beige head. Poured from the bottle to a tulip. Aroma is like the sour section of a candy shop. Grape candy(not real grape), and tary, giving off more of a processed candy aroma than traditional sweets. Taste is sweet until the sour patrol hits you seconds later. Unique and unlike anything I’ve ever tasted with the label "beer". Almost like a liquid version of warheads or shocktarts. Gone in minutes it drinks so easily. Uniqueness overall defines this brew. DO NOT drink it too cold. Let it open up a little in the warm air. The relevance makes it difficult to compare to anything I have ever tried in terms of beer.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at Roebling Tea Room in Brooklyn. Pours clear red, a sort of bright cherry-red veering into mahogany. Aroma is sour berries, hint of funkiness, and some miscellaneous other notes I can’t quite pin down. Flavor is dominated by the sour/tart/acidic notes, which are a complex mixture of fruit-tartness, lactic sour, even some lemon-ish acidity. Quite a bit of fruit sweetness just behind that. Pretty nice.
