OMER. traditional blond is made of excellent summer malted barley from the Loire region (France) and pure water. During the brewing process sugars are liberated that will serve later to nourish the yeast. During the cooking process 3 varieties of hops from Germany, Slovenia and the Czech Republic are added to give the beer the specific aroma and bitterness

Aromat bogaty, przeniczny, troche cytrynowy. Wygląd perfekcyjny: mętne, kolor słomkowy, niesamowicie gęsta piana. Średnie nasycenie. W smaku goryczka, pszeniczny charakter, trochę alkohol. Bardzo dobrze. Zwłaszcza, że kosztowane w samej Brukseli :)

Gedronken in Brussel, cafe Carpe Diem. Helder geel bier met schuim. Smaak is hoppig bitter en fruitig, citrus en licht zoet. Smaak blijft redelijk lang hangen.

330 ml bottle, as Omer. Traditional Blond, BB date 30.12.2014, brewed by Brouwerij Bockor NV, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 8%. Nearly clear golden colour, large to moderate white head. Sweetish aroma of white kandij sugar syrup, mild spices and fruity hops, also less pleasant notes of cheap perfume and soap. Medium sweet flavour, mildly spicy and fruity notes, some soapy hints. Not my favourite Belgian this one.

Bottle, 750 ml, shared with JFK10000. Pours clear golden with white large head. Banana and hint of yeast in aroma. Bit spicy. Medium bodied, dry finish. Better than expected.

F: huge white frothy head, long lasting. C: hazy opaque golden yellow. A: nice floral, yeast, spice, malt. T: almost like a saison taste, very good balanced malt with hoppy complex taste, coriander, bready, crisp higher carbonation, medium body, black pepper, pear, honey, yeast, very nice beer, I recommend to taste.

A Belgian ale that is dominated by sweet fruits, rather than any yeasty complexity, not my kind of beer.

Bottle. Semi hazy golden body with a tall head. Mild malty and yeasty aroma with soft lager-like hoppiness. Sweet taste with some earthy lager type of hoppiness. Otherwise a pretty standard Belgian Blond Ale. Slightly harsh/metallic finish. Quite good, but considering the number of Belgian Blond Ales (a pretty homogeneous style, yet somehow deemed not worthy of a separate subcategory here) out there it’s rather forgettable. Does not have anything that would really grab me.

330ml bottle, thanks to jefVerstraete. Pours blonde with big foamy white head. Sweet, yeasty aroma. Taste is sugary sweet, smooth with yeast, light hops, very flavoursome. Great beer.

33 cl. bottle @ home. Golden yellow beer, minimal white head. Sweet, fruity aroma, apples and banana. Taste and palate are very pleasant, bitter aftertaste that lingers shortly.
