OMER. traditional blond is made of excellent summer malted barley from the Loire region (France) and pure water. During the brewing process sugars are liberated that will serve later to nourish the yeast. During the cooking process 3 varieties of hops from Germany, Slovenia and the Czech Republic are added to give the beer the specific aroma and bitterness

Blonde/yellow color, nice white head. Pretty simple taste; much carbonation, kind of bitter, kind of strong, but not really complex.

Bottled, 33 cl. Opal yellow coloured one with a creamy and lasting white pillow on its top, which remains finger thick. Low-keyed fruity nose. Tasteing starts crisp followed by a mild citrus fruity aroma escorted by hints of apples, bread and bubblegum. Dry, spicy and somewhat warming aroma underpainted by lemon peel. An easy brew in a good sense.

Clear golden. Persistent white head. Fruity green bananas, dried tropical fruits and wine gum. Very fruity taste, well balanced with moderate bitterness. One of the better blonds.

11.2oz bottle 6/28/14 (Armanetti’s-Aurora)-50° in Trappist Glass-Pours yellow with a small white head and great big floaties. Aroma yeast, wheat, and hops. Taste of the same with a bit of malt on the back end. This light bodied brew is a bit weak.

Golden colour and a big dense head. Smell is yeasty, malt and a clear alcohol hint. Taste is yeasty too, bread crust, and again too much alcohol in the taste. Nothing special.

Appears clear golden with a frothy white head. The aroma has hay, citrus, herbs and alcohol. It tastes nicely sweet with a light bitter finish. The body and carbonation are medium, texture can become a bit creamy. Despite the bitter, grassy finish a refreshing beer.

Trevlig kryddighet.

330ml bottle bought at Sips in Sai Wan.

Cloudy hazy golden orange colour with trunks of yeast particles; One and a half finger head with lasting crumpety white foams; Excellent sticky lacing and quite fizzy carbonation; Fragrant and sweet aroma of bready malt, with vanilla, orange, floral, mashed banana, sugar, very light alcohol, earth, strong Bel yeast and faint spices; Mid to light sweet taste of full malt, with light metallic, very light tartness, mandarin peels, molasses, strong earth, bread, strong Bel yeast, lime zest, bitter hops and light grass; Full body. Thick and creamy palate; Mouth feel is fat bready malt, rich and creamy. Good orangey / mandarin esters. Strong bread and Bel yeast, hops are light but lively. Tasty faint booze lurking in the background but never caused any problems. Good!... Hoppiness is floral and faint spicy nose, earth, zesty lime and smart light grass in taste; Bitterness is typical light Belgian but smart and memorable in background for a lasting low astringent finish; Dry after taste. Sweet and slightly bitter to mouth.

Comments: This one seems to mean business on the get go, has impressive heads and looks, rich and creamy malt, citrusy esters, strong yeast, and smart earthy lively hoppiness. The overall feel - refermentation wise - is akin to Delirium Tremens. If only its ester can be more varied, it will be great. Still, enjoyable.
