OMER. traditional blond is made of excellent summer malted barley from the Loire region (France) and pure water. During the brewing process sugars are liberated that will serve later to nourish the yeast. During the cooking process 3 varieties of hops from Germany, Slovenia and the Czech Republic are added to give the beer the specific aroma and bitterness

Lovely beer. Golden with big foamy head that has good retention. Fruits and some hoppy floral notes in the nose. Malts are noticeable as well and some banana sweetness coming from the yeast. First impression: wow! Take a sip. Strong alcohol gives this beer a ’bite’. Some sour lemon taste. Spices, belgian yeast, malts and hoppy bitterness. Fruity alcoholic dry finish, leaving you to want more. This beer is a trip. Very skillfully brewed. Dare I say it? Better than a Duvel?

Very beautiful blond beer, with a bit haze and quite long head. Very good lacing. Not very strong aroma but enough to be enjoyable: hops, candy, strawberry, spices and a bit of banana In mouth this beer is surprising. Bitter-sweet taste, well balanced and quite intense. Medium body and medium carbonation. The high alcohol content is perfectly integrated and it is difficult to believe its 8%. Not very long finish. Beer easy to drink and very enjoyable. Totally recommendable.

250ml bottle. Clear golden color. Small size, thick white head, stays. Sweet, fruity, yeast, apple jam in aroma. Alcohol, malty, yeast, fruity, touch of iron in taste. Crisp mouthfeel. Sweet alcoholic aftertaste. Way too boozy.

Bottle at home. Clear golden with big white head. Candy, strawberries, sugary, lots of bitter herbs, lemon cakes, ras-al-hanout. Quite sweet with medium bitter herbal finish. Medium bodied with full carbonation and some alcohol. Nothing special.

330ml bottle. Clear golden shade. Forms a large white head. Aroma is nettle, honey, grain. Malty taste with slight banana, pear and apple notes. It seems sweet but that’s kept in check by a dry finish. Drinkable but not the most distinctive.

330mL bottle from International Beer Collector BB 17.09.16 Pours a huge fluffy white head atop a clear pale gold body. Rather nice, pleasant sort of nose to it - sweet ripe pear, stonefruit-like esters, subtle floral hops, touch of sweet woody perfumey spices. Body full yet surprisingly delicate for its weight, fine carbonation. Palate is quite subtle, but nice - floral, herbal hops, sweet sugars & cereal malts, pear & apricot, doughy yeast with spicy, clove notes. Moderate bitterness, slight warmth, reasonably well balanced. A delicate, somewhat elegant, Belgian blonde - understated, often a rare attribute in the style.

Nice soft foam. The colour is bright golden/yellow. The beer is crystal clear. It looks very appealing. The smell is rather plain. Some beery smell and some sweet aroma’s. The taste is nice. It has a hint of normal pilsner. It has a full body, nice and sweet, but not to sweet. The bitterness is mild, but adequate. There is a touch of almond in it. This almond aroma stays in the finish, wich is nice.

340 mL bottle. Golden blonde pour, light hazy. Finger of white fizzy head that swiftly turns into a thin cap. Citrus grain aroma. Taste has some pine hops at the end. Very effervescent. Made fine, overall very average.

Wow. A one of a kind beer. One of the best I’ve tasted in recent years. A nice dark bite, beautiful color and delightful aroma.
