2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 JorisPPattyn (6725) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - JUN 22, 2006
Clear golden beer; yellowish, fine & dense head, leaving some lace. Vanilla aroma through a gassy nose, further pale malts, vaguely spicey. Quite bitterish, hops at first - but not very noble ones, turning flat & metallic. Ends dull sweet, even if dryish. Slightly burning MF, bit slimy sensation. Very average pilsner.

UPDATED: JUL 2, 2005 (Bottle 25 cl) Normal pilsener golden colour, decent gead, Nice balance between hops and malt sweetness. Not that different from a Danish standard pils. This entry should be titled "Bockor Pils". 070205

Below average Belgian pils, don’t drink this if other beers are available. Not recommended for tasting, only for a night out or getting wasted the cheap way.

Had loads of this because of nothing else being available. It works out just fine except for this terrible taste that you get rewarded with afterwards ... It seems as if all the bottles contain fine sand! Same problem on tap. Actually not recommended. Better spend some more money on stronger (and better) beers available.

It is difficult to compare Pilsener with Abbeybeer, or others. They are made for different consumption, and aren’t ment to enriche a soul but ’just’ to take the thurst awy.
A good Pilsener, not a really commercial, not bad at all
