(Draught@HBF2008) Pale golden with a small head. Grassy, lightly malty aroma with some toffee. Grassy-hoppy, pale-malty flavor with a dry finish. Almost medium body with soft carbonation. A decent, light and grassy pils with nothing very special or interesting.

Regular looking pils blonde with small white head. Medium carbonation. Aroma of cream soda, bit malty but quite plain. Quite a crisp finish. Gets worse the more you have.

20110617 Home (25 cl bottle): A yellow. clear beer with a thin white head. Not to much aroma, some hints of malt, hops and roasted bread. The taste is somewhat sweet and light malty. In the finish some notes of hops. A neutral pilsener.

250ml draught at the place called Quinten Matsijs in Antwerpen. Golden-straw coloured body, tiny head, solid lacing. Aroma of hay-like hops and pale malts. Mild grainy malts with grassy hops in flavour. Clean and dry in the mouth. Decent pilsner (enjoying ourselves at this elegant café, 28.04.2011).

Since it didn’t say anything than Bockr and tasted like a nice Belgian pils, then I assume this was the one. Just like in the picture it had a perfect golden colour and refreshing features with the fine touch of this country.

93/20 was the rating when I found this page.... yes, that means that even if this beer scores in the 93rd percentile of ALL pilsners, it only ranks in the 20th percentile of all beers! Oh, those poor pilsners.... are they all really that bad? C’mon, who doesn’t like a good pils once in awhile? This pours with a painfully clear yellow-green body and just a small bed of head on top. The aroma is bread, perfumy hops, wet malts. The taste has a nice mix of sourdough bread and hops, very smooth, good mouthfeel. Like drinking a fresh loaf of European bread. It’s good, for sure; does it beat some of the heavier brews? Sadly, not.
