3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 gservo (23) - New Jersey, USA - JUL 6, 2009
This is a Nostalgic beer for me, good times good memories in New York , the Nitro head , decent aroma, and a HIGH Drink-ability, if you drink it slow and let it warm up a little as you drink you get a decent ale to drink
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Gaffney (22) - St Andrews, SCOTLAND - FEB 19, 2007
A better than expected clean bitter with a copacetic creamy long-lasting head. Adumbrations of pear and honey, with an unpresumptuous light medium finish. An enjoyable compliment with spicy bangers and mash.
1.2 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20 Herkybird (21) - YORK, North Yorkshire, ENGLAND - AUG 9, 2009
The can probably tastes better than the beer in it. Like bland, tasteless shaving foam; not unpleasant but offers no obvious reason to drink it. No real characteristics. The cask version is much superior.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 SecretSquirrel (20) - Sheffield, ENGLAND - JUL 7, 2003
Similar to many "mainstream" bitters, nothing outstanding. Boddingtons was the drink that launched my drinking career, mainly because it was smooth and went down easily. Maybe a good choice for the Stella drinker looking to further their taste, but so many better beers I'm lost as to it's popularity.
0.5 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 1/20 craigbeerlover (11) - ENGLAND - JUL 30, 2005
Taste of smoothing nothingness.
Just has faint taste of honey if that, also has gotten even worse since Interbrew moved brewing from my home city of Manchester to South Wales. It now doesn’t even have that Honey taste!

O dear, another bland beer ’made’ by Interbrew. Typically weak, tastless keg bitter with artificially creamy head. Can’t they do better than this.

Let’s see...I first discovered this brew on tap in Dunstable U.K....I was blown away!!! A lighter colored beer that could hold it’s own with the mighty stout! But...after finding it canned in the states I was really let down! My rating it biased...I combined the two experiences! If you are ever in the U.K. Do everything you can to find this beer! In the states....look elsewhere!
2.8 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 minky (7) - Swansea, WALES - FEB 25, 2007 does not count
This beer can go from excellent, to undrinkable, depending where you drink it. A good pint is used to be found in Manchester, but like many other beers, brewed elsewhere now. The smell isn’t the best, but taste makes up for this. Good ale, tasty beer, fairly smooth. Not too fussed on the cans, other beers taste better in cans.

Bland, pointlessly-foamy, pale imitation of the once-classic. That said, it’s strangely easy to drink when it’s the token canned bitter at parties, probably because it’s either that or Foster’s. A small consolation is that InBev is slang for cunnilingus in their home country of Belgium, also the home of beers somewhat better than this

Not to be confused with the widget.. this beer is a smooth yet clean beer with a strong hop but low alcohol by English Standards
