2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Weird beer to rate. Taste like English pale ale at the end and not a really great one. bit metallic for sure. Nitro does crazy stuff to the brain!
Fun to drink

Clear bright amber colour. Very small white head. Low carbonation. Weak flavour. Not that great.

Real creamy head - I like. Nothing in the nose. Quite watery, some hops in aftertaste, but i want more intense. Loved the foam, everything else is just ehh some ale.

Good pub ale...but always drink it way too fast! Pretty light taste and not much aroma.

Pint nitro can purchased from Giant Eagle in Pittsburgh. Pleasant creaminess from the widget and a nice supporting head. Somewhat weak on body and taste and a suspicious metallic aftertaste.

OLD NOTES NOV 10, 2003
UPDATED: SEP 8, 2004 Nice creamy head and golden body. Nothing special about the smell, kind of sweet and malty. The beer itself has a nice texture. A honey sweet kind of body, but it seems kind of watery. It’s definately missing something. Not bad or offensive, but has little to offer in the way of nice flavours. I’m gonna have to try it off the tap though. Rerate: Had another couple, not a bad bitter actually. Has a initial bitter hint, but levels out with a buttery, caramel flavour the body, with hints of fruit. Better than my first impressions.

A very nice session beer. Currently on tap and enjoying a short one on my front porch. Come and join me!
This is most certainly true.

Pours a clear copper. Mild aroma of malts and light fruits. Taste is similar to the smell, with a light bitter aftertaste.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 13/20
Aroma :creamy notes with sweet malt aromas, some slight carbonation
Taste: bitter start and that finishes with a basic dry hopiness. Some sweet maltiness.
Appearance : clear gold body with creamy head that retains well with nitrogen infusion

Can. Subdued aroma. Dark brown color. Smooth, slightly bitter taste. Similar to Guinness, with peaty flavor and faint carbonation, but tastes better overall than Guinness. Bitter finish. Better than average from a can, which is not saying much.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a caramel honey brown with a flourish of dirty, milky looking bubbles that meet a slight but creamy head of long lasting foam. Bubbles stick to the side of the glass and almost obscure a tiny bit of sediment in the beer. Nose is earthy and smells a bit like dirt at first. Then it becomes grassy and very herbal. It has a bit of sour form the mixture of grains. A flaked corn sweetness emerges as it warms and it becomes more pleasant as you drink it.
Taste follows the nose. Husky, herbal, earthy and with a bit of bitter in the finish. I looked hard for any metallic quality and could not find any. The mouthfeel is soft and creamy from the nitro and it is a surprise if you are not expecting it. I did feel that the beer was a bit thin but not really bland and the grass and herbal , although not fruity offered plenty of flavor and texture. Goes to the finish dry and with more grass and a moderate bitter. Husky earthy, grainy, grassy, pungent and herbal.
