Tap at Paradise Grill, Holland Ave, Ottawa. Darker gold ale with a nitro head. Taking of whiff of this, I smelled skunk (in a keg) and sweet malt with grassy hops. Dryish malts wth a hint of nuts, light herbal hops and light bodied, thinish and boring. A typical Inbev/Oland crap on tap. Went well with the mediocre Indian buffet there.

Golden-blonde colour with cascading white curtains and a thick creamy white head. Nitro head hides a fairly fruity aroma, a touch of spice and a bit of nuttiness. Flavour is quite nice, fruity and spicy. It could use a bit more acidity, but I suspect it’s from the stupid widget. There is also a touch of citrus in here.

Nitro tap: Pours a thick golden with a puffy white head. Lightly malty aroma. Body is semi-sweet and moderately bitter with a crisp finish. A decent bitter, but could use more of a darker caramel malt flavor and assertive hoppiness.

Nitro Can. First pour is milk like, all white with nitrogen bubbles. Milk like head, perfect recreation of something from a nitro tap. Clear body that seems to be a light amber hue. Great lacing and retention on the head. Bland aroma and flavor are a trade off for the creamy mouthfeel, soft bubbles, and great looks of this beer.

Light clear yellow appearance. Smells a little perfumy, some medicing and perfume aromas are not really that well liked. Very light bodied, not much carbonation. Smells rotten, like nail polish and peaches. Thin, without much flavor, and lacking any hop flavors whatsoever.

Light malty milky aroma. Big estery retronasal presence. Quite apple-like. Metallic hops, and surprisingly drinkable for something I had a long-standing prejudice against.

No aroma, yellow appearance with such foam, not much taste, just a slight bitterness. Some creaminess, probably owing to gas tap. Passable drink at seasonal party. Bit of sweetness and grassiness. Moderately dry aftertaste. Medium but still watery mouthfeel.

Very nice creamy head that mostly sticks around. Aroma was very lightly malty and some yeast. Starts off a little sweet and then goes bitter. The flavor hangs around for a little while. It is creamy on the palate and surprisingly flat.

Dark golden color, light fruity sweet hoppy aroma, hint of malt light sweet fruity taste, medium body, smooth light thin finish.
